  1. What is your gear ratio? My magic gear ratio is 47/16 and it is perfect for me. I also found that tension differs with different makes of chain. Both my chainring and sprocket are custom made from 3mm stainless steel.
  2. They are very nice. I have done a couple of rides on them and I am very impressed. They are light, responsive and rolls very well.
  3. Do anyone know for how much they sell?
  4. How do you say no to a face like that?
  5. Yes, really enjoy this bike, haven't been on my geared bike for over two months. Made training this winter fun. All the old training routes became new challenges on the s/speed. Did my first training ride to Franschhoek last Friday and it was awesome.
  6. Upgraded the wheelset and replaced bulbars with drops.
  7. Ou Helshoogte no problem. First part of Helshoogte on other side a bit difficult but manageable.
  8. Franschhoek mountains in the background covered in snow.
  9. I am almost 53 and running 47/16. Done ou Helshoogte twice already with no problems. Enjoy the s/speed, haven't been on the geared bike for 2 months.
  10. Ry maar net saam met die ou toppie :-D
  11. Running 47/16. No tensioner needed.
  12. I have had AMC 420's and different sets of Eastons . Nothing bad to say about them except bit of flex in the 420's, but I have a set of Elites now. Best wheels jet.
  13. My son made it. He works at the same Company.
  14. Custom made 3mm s/steel sprocket and chainring on the bike. Works perfectly, bike extremely quiet. With custom made chainring and sprocket I have found the magic gear thats perfect for me.
  15. Also bought quite a lot of stuff from them, prices and service excellent.
  16. Climbing walls?
  17. Bits of bling for the S/speed roadbike. 3 mm stainless steel chainring and sprocket.
  18. Up to 8 speed chain should be fine with 2 mm.
  19. Yes. a Very nice and talented young man at Rindrouting in Paardeneiland made that :-)
  20. Mark Weedall in Belville.
  21. Thanks to CWC's clearance sale on aluminium Marcello frames another S /speed bike was born.
  22. Using mine for 2 months now. No punctures yet. Tyres rolls extremely fast even at low pressure. Gives an incredible smooth ride. Read reviews of the Scwalbe's, there's even a video where a guy pushes a (looks like an ice pick) pin through the tyres and it seals with no problem. That's what sold me. I can only speak for the Scwalbe's, haven't tried any of the other brands.
  23. Ksyrium elite's with Scwalbe ultremo zx tyres. 90–95 psi back 80 front. Ride quality amazing. Tyres expensive but I doubt If I will be able to go back to normal setup.
