Awesome race. The new route is top - lots of single track to enjoy. Though I found the jeep tracks at times very slippery when cornering. Will be back next year if they stick with the new venue.
Hi guys, I just noticed that I forgot the cap which screws onto the fork valve in Tokai today. I'm pretty sure I left it neatly on the tree stump half way up Vasbyt - where this wooden structure is. If someone finds it please deposit it with the rangers at the parking lot or take it with you and let me know. I will be in Franschoek tomorrow morning an therefore can't pick it up myself before afternoon. Many Thanks!
Same happened to me on W2W. Currently waiting for replacement part. I actually thought by choosing aluminium over carbon frame I would be spared with these kind of failures.
I'm experiencing similar issues. What usually works for me is to clean the contacts on the unit and on the cable with a damp cloth. Also make sure all pins on the cable go down well and don't get stuck half way...
I checked with Stillwatersport and the Oude Molen MTB race is not happening - which is a pity because it was awesome last year... Here is the reply I received: "The event will take on a different format, it will be an enduro type event. There is a race report from 2012 on Kevin Evans' blog - he says 1600m elevation. Also check the thread of the 2012 event here on the hub. There are some statements about the total elevation from different riders.
