Clear nail varnish is a good idea. it's an aluminium frame and its probably anodised under the paint anyway so it should be ok. Don't worry about it.

I would say Fork and group set.

frame will be fine that's just cosmetic. If you really want you can flat it down and use an air brush to touch up again, don't forget the clear coat.
