Eish. Rotors look small, definitely no 180 there, and brakes look like white deore not slx. I have the 1-20 800d and upgraded my deore to XT and hell, what a difference! Bugger the shifters, do the brakes!!

Agreed, check out siverback, and if possible look at adding a few extra grand for better specs as its a LOT cheaper to buy better specs out of the box than upgrade later.

Lol Ok, so I do about 300 to 400 a month, do a fair amount of medium hills and am about 5kg over weight. I rate my fitness at around 6.5 to 7. And I don't eat pies, but make up for it in copious amounts of beer! So what do you think?

Mojo, I'm probably at my fittest yet at the moment and believe I am relatively hill fit. However I am no race snake. How would you gauge the monster against the redstone crazy croc? As I'm fitter than I was then. Hell this could be funny if I do 75km

Also considering the monster (75km) sometimes I feel that driving that far, a half marathon is too short. So how bad(hard) is it actually?

My favorite race! If I remember correctly it was through entry time last year, but the race is so small you can always do an entry on the day. Make a weekend of it! Its always great fun.

Took one for a spin the other day, it was a large and I take a medium, so did some pavement cruising and curb hopping and it felt great. I presume there is a fair amount of flex in the carbon as it was not too hard on my back and it didn't feel bulky like a previous naainer that I rode. I'm tempted to take the plunge and buy one

Found 1 for 21k and took it for a test ride. Very very nice! Rather tempting.
