  1. yip, 250 would be great. Cummon Morne!
  2. I've always felt that the longer game was more to his liking. At school, he was considered a better bat than AB
  3. Faf looking good, just need someone to stick around with him and we can get to 250
  4. Deep poo
  5. I have a set of Fulcrum Red Metal 3's. LUST Crossmark on the rear, LUST Monorail on the front, both still in pretty decent nick. The hubs were serviced about 6 months ago and have been sitting in the garage pretty much since then. I'll let them go for pretty cheap.
  6. I've always liked Jacques R, but he just seems to be under performing at the moment. This could be due to him batting much lower than he usually does or that he's just not cutting it. That said, I would love for us to give a couple of youngsters a go in the Jan tests against NZ. Potential line-up: Alviro, Smith, Amla, AB, Elgar, Faf, Q De Kok (wk), Obus Pienaar, Philander, Steyn, Morkel. Good batting line-up, great pace attack and options in terms of spinning. Give Kallis some R&R if he needs it or bring in Phangiso if it's a turning track. We could even give one or two of the upcoming quicks a bash, specifically thinking of Machant or Hardus Viljoen. Steyn looks like he's carrying a niggle and might do with a game or two on the sidelines.
  7. Speaking of all rounders, I wonder if the selectors will have the guts to give Obus Pienaar a shout in the near future. At 22 he is averaging nearly 40 with the bat and 24.5 with the ball. He already as a first class double ton behind his name too.
  8. @Scrumpy: Slowly and painfully for now. I had no idea that running could hurt the muscles this much. Swimming training is starting next week, but all seems to be on course for Feb
  9. I just checked on Triathlonsa.co.za Not sure if the chip system is used
  10. I used Cadence for Berg and Bush training and it really made a difference. As the Rabbit mentioned previously, it is recommended that you either do a sweet spot session or an LSD type ride on the weekend to increase endurance.
  11. I'll take the blame for that. Every time I have a look at the TV a wicket falls. Staying at my desk for the next 10 minutes
  12. Oh, fully agree on AB. He needs to focus on being the number 1 batsman in the world, not being a batsman keeper. Look at Sanga
  13. With JK out, I'll put money on them playing Robbie P. And can I sub Thami for Vilas?
  14. As sad as it is to say, I think you're right about the Little Master. It'll truly be the end of an era when Sachin, Punter and Jacques pack it up
  15. So here's what I don't get. So if Punter is a real deal legend, then why does JK get so much stick? RP: Ave 52.54, Runs 13346, 41 hundreds. JK: Ave 57.3, Runs 12837, 44 hundreds These are pure batting stats, and excludes the 280 wickets that JK has taken! Not picking on you, just that your post brought this to mind. As Benjamin said...REAL LEGEND. We will only appreciate him when he's gone.
  16. Brilliant, 'cause that could have been a deal breaker
  17. Cool thanks. I can't imagine any openwater swims getting up to 28 degrees though
  18. So what is legal / non-legal? Is it purely temperature based?
  19. So the next big question, am I expected to shave my legs?
  20. I wish I was ready for Buffels. It sounds awesome!
  21. Awesome, thanks for all the advice guys!
  22. Cool, can do a 25 odd ride there, go for a swim and ride back!
  23. And where do you practice open water swimming in Jozi? The Jukskei looks a touch rough
  24. The plan was to initially start with the Joburg City tri and build up for Bela Bela, so nothing over the top in terms of distance. I'd assume that a wetsuit would not be required as the temps should be good.
  25. On road for now, but in time I suspect I'll drift towards offroad Xterra type stuff
