So I've decided to enter the dark and murky world of multisport. In order to get myself ready for Feb, I've signed up for some swimming lessons with total immersion (trust me, I need it) and a running programme. In terms of kit, what do I need? Obviously bike, shoes, helmet, etc... From a transition perspective, when and where do you change from cozzie to tri-shorts? Is there anything that I specifically need to be aware of? Wetsuit? Do I need one? So many questions...

Based on what I've read, have a beer and relax for day or two. Having played multiple sports at a decent level, we all have bad days. You're being too hard on yourself,how do you think Dale Steyn, Imran Tahir or Rory Kleinveld feels today. Sit back, sort stuff out and come back fighting

DON'T DO IT. Debt is not worth being a touch faster over however many k's. Spend the time you think of the new bike on your current bike (until such time as you can afford it).

I did and I stand by it... There's no way I can throw my 29er around as much as my 26er.

Considering the above vitriol, I would take it with a pinch of salt. I had a Zula and am now on a Niner. With the kind of riding we have in Gt, the 29er is definitely faster, but not nearly as much fun. So what sort of riding do you want to do? I know I love my Niner in races, but miss my Zula in any other situation.

You will be able to pick a a very decently specced Morewood Zula in that range...secondhand though. That said, you will NOT beat it for that price
