Yip Mackie, I agree 100% with your statement.....feeling. i had again this weekend a guy that just simply did not do what he said he would,,,,,namely pitch to view as HE requested from me,that's after I went and collect the item from storage,needless to say,that already is a red light flashing for me and I will not do business with this newbe on the hub....... but the avg person I have dealt with was very good.

Very unlikely that it is the actual crankset that creaks. Check the BB out, I had similar problems on my FSA Carbon and XT crankset......... changed all my BB's to Chris King and NEVER had sqeeking,creaking or tick-tick-tick BB again. Good luck

Robb says "i think that communication is a big problem with some sellers" I again have problems with buyers that shows interest,want to make arrangement to view the product then simply just disappear. The weirdest experience I have had lately was a hubber that booked and payed for a weekend on the farm about 3 weeks ago(see my thread under Routes and trails).Well they simply never arrived,after a number of calls,messages,sms's,emails,the person just simply did'nt bother to say'we not coming'the reason don't need to be given,but weird....fully payed weekend,don't pitch and just keep quite.....weird man, so maybe there are also some comms problems from the buyers side that needs attention. I deal only with guys that's been around here for some time as there are some really dodgy guys prowling this site aswell. My 2 cents on my experience here on the hub.

I have done the route from George -Oudshoorn-route 66 to Cape Town about 4 years ago with the great Western bike ride group,it was fantastic the riding and can highly recommend it,enjoy,I would'nt have mind to ride it again. We took 7 days,with one days rest in between from George to Cpt,if I remmered correctly is was about 600km's.

Can't offer you any advise or help really,but I think you got a brilliant idea there. Go for it and enjoy !! I went to Bethlehem two weeks ago with a friend and we cycled around there(Bethlehem-Clarens) area with another friend form the area,absolutly awesome, I just wish I can do it more and more often,but work is forever in my way Grrr.

I had a similar problem,not with a Roxshock, but with the F32 FIT ......X shock,also a brand new shock,with maybe 300km's on it,cut a long story short,did the repair at my own cost ,because the person that sold the shock to you,now suddenly don't reconise you,sad,but true,so don't feel lonely with your Roxshock experience, it's just the way service get's handle at a some of the SA outlets.

That's a great bike, and what TNT1 said is very true,maybe a lighter and better wheelset will make you feel better, but to think you going to be anything REALLY better off by spending cash ............... Nah !! Sorry,just my very humble opition on your existing great bike........ I was vrey temped to buy that bike myself,but my wife would have killed me..............dead !

My gosh, I sold this bike to you(your dad) with less than 50km's on,it also have a Easton EC90 carbon wingbar fitted to it. I can't remember what I sold it for at the time but if you do a search on my previous post, you find it there. Nice bike !

I like the DRC rim usage,bulletproof stuff,also the Novatech sealed bearing hubs are another option for the hub possibility.
