I was at varsity when TV started in SA, so by the time I actually started watching TV, I had to buy my own. On R400 a month!!!! So M-Net, when it arrived, was an ABSOLUTE luxury.

    That's when we used to watch SABC! Couldn't afford M-Net @ R60 a month, I think.

  15. The shoes are easy, it's finding the cleats, depending on what pedals you have!!! My suggestion, just wear running shoes.
  16. AND, believe it or not, my other neighbours!!!!
  17. Had horses, African dwarf goats, pot bellied pigs and ducks. Horses need to be ridden and housed, groomed and lots of other upkeep, so got rid of them! Goats eat everything and jump on cars, which guests did not like, so they were given away as gifts ( ). Pigs found they could raid the neighbours' vegie garden and the other neighbours' vineyard, so they were very unpopular ( ) went to an animal farm. Ducks just disappeared ( ). So left with the cattle, dogs, cats and chickens!!!
  18. Thank you. Yes, it is my back yard and I do have a beautiful view, out the front also. I just wish Fausto (the big boy), his missus and his daughter were better lawn mowers. They've not been doing such a good job, which means I'll have to get my A into G and do it, aaarrggghhh!
  19. My big boy and his daughter. Not quite pets, more like free range lawn mowers.
  20. Sold the frame, just wanted the components.
  21. Nice frame and wheels. Freulein Geometry!! http://www.fatbmx.com/uploads2/user_Bart/2006_07/wk30/pin_up_colnago_blonde.jpg
  22. Very, very nice build. really like the blue. For me, that's the nicest DA groupo, love it. I concur about the chain, too short . Are the the brake levers 105??? DA had a chrome like trim.
  23. My guess would also be late 80s. Aero crown on the fork came in in 1985. The seat stays are capped and look late 80s, compared to my mid 80s Record 935. Check through the BB for butting, or spirals in the tubing. EDIT However, on 2nd look, I see it has top tube cabling, so maybe mid 80s, how many water bottle bosses? I read somewhere that Bianchi introduced 2 sets only in the late 80s!!!

Watched THE IMITATION GAME last night In 1939, newly created British intelligence agency MI6 recruits Cambridge mathematics alumnus Alan Turing (Benedict Cumberbatch) to crack Nazi codes, including Enigma -- which cryptanalysts had thought unbreakable. Turing's team, including Joan Clarke (Keira Knightley), analyze Enigma messages while he builds a machine to decipher them. Turing and team finally succeed and become heroes, but in 1952, the quiet genius encounters disgrace when authorities reveal he is gay and send him to prison. I can remember when it was illegal to be homosexual!
