  1. more modern version
  2. Brake lever clamps. Look like fairly old, before 80s, probably 70s / 80s Campagnolo Nuovo/Record.
  3. Still waiting for the post office, nearly 2 months! I'm I frustrated? Naaah, just happy it's on their system, it'll come, EVENTUALLY
  4. Bike cardboard box is fine, just make sure you pack your bike well and ask then to splash FRAGILE stickers on it. Emirates sometimes are difficult, but I've flown with them at least 10 times with a box, last year took 2, and never had a problem. Good luck.

My last caravan excursion with my folks, on the way to Beira. We spent overnight at the caravan park at the top of Christmas Pass, Umtali. Being the surly, unsociable 19 year old I was, I wondered down the pass with my Dad's Supersonic 'portable' radio on my shoulder: http://img.bidorbuy.co.za/image/upload/user_images/889/1345889_110821210818_129.JPG

If memory serves, there was a 'serial' on the radio, BTV, called TAXI I think. Listened to it at varsity, in between reading cowboy novels, they were fast reads, so you could build up your novel count!!!! This was one of my favs, a BAD COWBOY. http://www.benbridges.co.uk/covers/edge%2060.jpg
  9. I bought this as my 2nd Android box on BangGood. Bloody good value, as you can see, R680 with postage. Still waiting for it to arrive, but I paid with PayPal, so if it doesn't arrive, I get my money back. It landed in SA on 12th December, 10 days after purchase, now to wait for the Post Office!!!!
  10. Bruce Reynecke's Evol, damn beautiful frame, even if it is tupperware.
  11. Probably the most beautiful carbon frame I've ever seen:: Tommasini Evol: sort of 'throw back' carbon. Dedacci tubes bonded into Tommasini custom carbon lugs, lugs accentuated during painting.stunning. And frame and fork only 1kg and completely made in Italy. And, check out the chain and seat stays, NON-CONCENTRIC - on a 2007 model, I thought there was another brand that lays claim to inventing this!!!!
  12. I have exactly the same frame and I've called it Mondiale and I think late 80s. Who knows if I'm right, or wrong. I've had six Bianchi frames, all in different colours and all, ostensibly, from different times in the 80s. Two are easily discernible --- one had an English BB, so was obviously of Taiwanese origin; one is a collectible, so lots of info on the interwebs. To tell the difference between the other 4 is impossible and to find out which is what model, even more so. Such small differences that seem undescribed anywhere!!!!!! I even sent pics to Bianchi Girl - nom de guerre --- of a Bianchi fundi in the States. Even she/ he wasn't able to help. So good luck getting any further -- Just call it a MODIALE, dress her up in some nice Campy and enjoy her.

Left school at the end of 1968! Went to work as a mining cadet in what was then Rhodesia (I had ambitions of becoming a mining engineer) and earned the princely sum of £50 a month, on which I bought my first car ---- a 1959 Austin A40 Farina, cost me £90, 2nd hand of course. http://www.a40farinaclub.co.uk/images/featured/fp.jpg Whhhooops, first car I bought myself, not the first car I was given, those are further back in this thread!!!
  14. Me too, no fibre where I am!!! But, I have ADSL (Telkom, unfortunately) 4mbps (I can't get higher, I'm too far from the exchange), which means it runs most of the time between 2 and 3.5 mbps. I've been without DSTV for 5 years and have been running this since. 99% of the time I don't have a problem with Netflix and Youtube. I sometimes have buffering with Mobdro, LiveNetTv, TVZion etc. and can't watch much HD, if at all, unless I let a movie buffer for 10 minutes!!! I can even watch 2 streams on Netflix, 2 TVs running, but endure some buffereing. Overall, depending on what you want watch, I don't have a problem and uncapped for R605 / month, I don't miss DSTV. Just do it!!!! EDIT:::: PS: I have open view HD, R399 for the receiver and use the old DSTV dish and LNB. Good for BBC and eNews etc. Sometimes some good stuff on Reality Channel, even eTV. I really, really don't miss DSTV.

My first 'real' working PC. I think I bought it in 1986, could be 87. Looong story, but basically, I was working as a scientist and our Director didn't believe in computers, so if we wanted one, we had to buy it ourselves. I think the NCR Decision Mate cost me about 2 months salary and yes, I paid for it myself!!!!! Kept it at home and did all my data processing at home. Wrote most of the software myself too, there was very little available commercially, other than Lotus 123. It had a 10 meg hard drive 640k memory and a 240k floppy!!! Crazy numbers thinking back, no wonder I'd have to leave it running overnight sometimes to crunch big data!!!

Thanks. That's the one, how I came up with Katz I have no idea, some old neuron firing!!! I was living in PE at the time and visiting inlaws, so the big electronic shops were very novel for us from the backwaters!!!!

No wasn't rave, or Tony Factor, something like Katz, I honestly don't remember, but will probably recognise it when I hear, see, it.

Bought at some electronics shop in Jhbg (sort of like Dion's, but was a man's name) in 1982. I wrote some simple programmes (I think in basic, but don't remember) for my kids to do their homework on, spelling and arithmetic. Kids hated it!!! They just enjoyed the games. and don't forget the tape drive http://oldcomputers.net/pics/vic20-cass.jpg Vic 20.
  21. One sold on eBay a few days ago $3 999.99 https://www.ebay.com/itm/Colnago-C40-Carbon-2000-Gold-Edition-Road-Bike-with-Millennium-Watch-amp-Star-Fork-/392038212874?hash=item5b474c650a%3Ag%3Ar7UAAOSwSdZWfb3R&nma=true&si=2nlyotIfHPKpwtTP%252BYrfBYmFHa4%253D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
  22. C40 Millenium Gold, only 400 made. Originally came with a watch and certificate of authenticity. Unfortunately they get lost. I have the original user manuals, but not the watch or certificate.
  23. This is a retro-modern. This frame has 2 bottle cages, but a simple brake bridge!!!
