  1. Dont think that the ProRide is theft proof... I once forgot my keys at home before a ride and managed to twist the bike out. Maybe safe against an idiot, but those that do this all the time will figure it out once and then do it anytime they want.
  2. These are the agents. I dont think they want to sell to the public actually. I know Epic Sports Cycles carry Magura shocks. I've had the Magura Durin R100 for well over a year now and I love the shock. The main reason I think you might not see the Magura as much is because they are not cheap at all and servicing costs more.
  3. How much did that all cost you and what does that whole setup weigh?
  4. haha...
  5. good point! I wouldnt shove it up his ass though... dont know where he/she has been
  6. LMAO.... I cant tell if you're being serious
  7. Saw a guy on the Spruit as well on saturday with no helmet and it wasnt that he wasnt on a proper mountainbike... He was just a tonsil
  8. im sure your handlebars aren't 1.5m+ wide...
  9. So easy for the ladies haha. well done though
  10. WOW!!!! What is your bike insured for that they wanted to charge that much? My bike is covered for R38k at R290 with CycleSure
  11. Insurance ads are the most annoying of all tv ads... Do they really think their stupid ads are gonna make people run to insure their stuff with them? Actually all SA-made ads are really lame
  12. Probably by taking premiums and hardly ever paying out....
  13. I've got my bike insured with CycleSure and claimed for a new wheel and saddle with no hassles and no questions asked...
  14. totally agree!!! Yes it sucks a bit when you're slowed down by someone on the track, but its so much easier to jump off the track shoot past and jump back on than it is for the person pedaling their ass off up a hill... its common sense really, but i guess not too many people have that... Saw a guy wanting to start a fight with the guys a few weeks back while everyone was climbing the "Delta Park-Long Tree Climb" and he was belting downhill, with MORE than enough space to jump off the trail, pass them and jump back on, but i guess he was one of those with no-sense...
  15. Looks very cool! how much did you cost though? Im in jhb though, so not sure who would do such a good job, but an idea on price would be nice.
  16. Stunning dog! Is she friendly with that cat or did they grow up together? my Siberian is a cat killer
  17. HAHAHA... im sure you got the 'pressie' for yourself... the best presents are those that you can use too anyway
  18. The fact of the matter is also, that SA is so over priced with many things... Just look at cars. Buy a car from another country and you pay less for it, even in Bots its cheaper. Look at tyres for your car. Its cheaper everywhere else even in Bots. The suppliers make such huge profit margins on everything and the consumer must just cough up and for what??? Why not look after your own pocket instead of the local fat cats? Im not saying that LBS are make a killing, but probably the supplier themselves as Stretch has mentioned. yes many things are not worth importing cause of cost difference, but there are definitely a lot thats worthwhile importing and its up to the local suppliers to cut their profit margins and make it easier for us to just buy locally. Ideally it would be nicer to buy everything you want locally or just down the road from your LBS, but with some of the price differences being so high that you pay twice as much and sometimes even 4 times much locally, why would people not rather use CRC to buy the same good for soooo much less... Its time for local distributors to come to the party, cycling is already such an expensive sport, come "fat cats" make a plan!
  19. they told me months back that they would exchange the decca bibs, if they dont fit... but i wasnt in the mood for the hassle and bought from a LBS instead, you should just go to their office in Lynwood so they can sort it out
  20. Thats the point of telling people about crap service though isnt it? Then no one should get caught out, especially noobs
  21. yeah its a *** place that. Cant even call it a shop and if you dont know of that little 'centre' you struggle your ass off to find it... then you finally get there and you have to deal with a knobhead like that. Went there once for a minute, left and wont go back even if he had the best deal on something i needed.
