    Tankwa Trek

was an awesome race dont worry , they wont make it easier , the will actually make it harder, still too much open roads at the end of day one and 2, and that piece of tar was a bummer on day 3 but otherwise AWESOME Loved the going down after the Merino on my rigid sus, really testing my own skill down there

  5. Hi gents I don't run a chain tension er and if i can i would like to go without one. Currently i have the original niner bb but it seems to be slipping with the right torque setting and event putting special putty in there doesn't work It was obviously designed for normal gear riding and not to put that massive torque through it. I get about 300km out before i have to re tension. I had my bike serviced and sorted and after 3 days of the Tankwa trek my chain was too slack. How can i sort this problem out? Thanks for your help
  6. Who of you guys went and how was it for you? I felt bad on Friday after having a tummy bug from Monday till Thursday eve. Sat was awesome with some amazing climbing(South Africa's mont ventoux ) Sunday was awesome single track. The neutral zone before the race was too long for me and the piece of tar in the middle was a bit of a anti climax but otherwise it was awesome. This was real mountain biking and not dirt roadie like most of the other races, With the time of the year being perfect for the guys training for Epic i can see it becoming one of the big ones in SA I just hope it doesn't get any bigger than it is now. Thanks to Dryland for a awesome event.
