  1. I say Phillip, It's the olympics, the best of the best. The others will have their time, hopefully.
  2. He's been doing awesomely lately.
  3. My Avid XX's are extremely annoying. At The Mast Challenge a few weeks back at the bottom it was fine, at the top the front brake was soft, and by the time I was down again it was back to normal... Considering replacing them with XTR or Formula R1's, but I think the XTR's are slightly more reliable...
  4. Haha, I meant cool not in the sense of the weather. But just after the long guys left it started raining a bit harder. I remember seeing a puddle, and I've ridden there before so I though I'll speed up to get through, and it was hecticly deep. almost did a forward flip
  5. Just so you know, the P2Max can only work with a current crank if you have a removable spider and the matching crank to one listed on the website.
  6. Not available in SA yet, Andrew Smith distributes them, you can find him on fb or via the power3max website. He's waiting for some certificate to be approved or something. I've got one, got it so I could race with it and still use racing wheels as opposed to my powertap, I like it a lot more, better weight placement in the crank opposed to the rear hub. haven't had any problems and been using it for 2 months now.
  7. last year was cool, except the front runners of the short ran into the back markers of the long in no time, got stuck behind some people who refused to move over on the long single track. have to give it a miss this year, doing the houwhoek mtb, but will come by after for some more riding.
  8. Yup, that's what makes sense. I've heard people coming up have right of way, which to me, doesn't make sense.
  9. Cannondale flash 26er 2009/10. HiMod Frame XX grouposet Cannondale Si SL Hollowgram crank. Mavic Crossmax SLR.
  10. Green KCNC bar ends
  11. You think that. Personally I don't. I want my tracksuit tops looking clean, not with badges sewn all over it. And this is the problem, there are too many opinions, and so there has to be a generalisation. Currently it's take a medal if you want it.
  12. Garmin! Great support, great product. Only had 1 issue that was not involved with a crash and it was rectified within a week.
  13. I rode my rear tyre without sealant for a few weeks, it lasted. Then I had a race, lasted, and after the race in the parking lot in punctured. But use sealant.
  14. and do gear restrictions apply?
  15. How many people do you expect in cat 3? how many of them are U16's?
  16. all categories starting in one bunch?
  17. It really doesn't matter who you take it to. They all send it to omnico, or so I've been told.
  18. cycle lab will be able to facilitate a test bike. most of the time.
  19. I had a cannondale road bb on my flash and it had a much narrower clearance space in relation to the chain-stay compared to when I put a proper mtb one one... But I'll take your word for it.
  20. I think ultegra will be slightly narrower due to being a road component. This could lead, depending on your frame, to your crank hitting/nicking your chain-stay.
  21. Why? It's not as if people are going to be snatching things from under your nose. It could be a good thing, tell your LBS these people all came to them because of you, then you'll get an even better discount.
  22. Rear triangle is quite different. Dropouts too.
  23. Apparently ceramic bearings are all in the mind.
  24. They tried to sell me some campag Swissstop Yellow brake pads after I asked for sram...
