  1. Of course it isn't him. But he does look similar to andy. quite the poser telling you he's andy, or the joker.
  2. If your'e in Green Point you should try and head out to Chappies in the morning for a quick spin
  3. +1. I can only get to tokai on weekends because of school. I only go at 2 though, otherwise it's hectic. But after 2 it's almost dead. A few weeks ago I encountered a couple who needed a bomb and I was surprised to see people. Anyway, gave them the bomb and head off again, not a single other person seen until the car park...
  4. Groupset. Get yourself a set of Sram Force, (comes with the crank) it's R8500. Or, If you can stretch yourself, a set of 2011 Sram Red, for R13500. Ultegra is also R8500. Getting campag will mean a new wheelset/freebody too, so not really an option. You'll struggle to find wheels lighter than the ksyriums without splashing out bigtime. You could always get an aero set, but for that price they will be on the heavy side. Get a nice groupset, test them out (Force and Ultegra) and see what you like. Just my opinion.
  5. I've got a gobi on my mtb and had an arione on my road bike. Arione was amazing for the 1st summer I had the bike, then rode on the gobi for 6 months in winter. first race back in spring, was only 70km, but was...not what it used to be.
  6. That would be awesome
  7. I get a 'site under construction' page.
  8. Selle Italia SLR Kit Carbonio Anyone ever ridden a Selle Italia SLR Tekno? Looks quite mean coming in at 85grams!
  9. Unless you buy exactly the same bike, maybe a slightly lower spec, then no. You need to get used to the bike, so maintain the same one, and apparently you're not supposed to change anything in the last month. But I know somebody who went out and bought a spez sworks the day before...
  10. I think you should add another question that distinguishes between mtb and road. so Q1 is which saddle brand do you ride (road bike) Q2 which saddle brand do you ride (MTB) I use two different ones, not sure about others, some people like to use the same on both, but would be interesting.
  11. Also the Dasklip pass close to Porteville, Picketberg and Beaverlac. Starts at 220m and ends at 700m, think it's about 10km.
  12. I thought last year was his year, according to Phil, and then he crashed.
  13. ladies mile TT is pretty bland compared with what could be done, but it's a nice route and not very trafficky.
  14. What time you thinking of?
  15. But still, selfish to hold on to Froome for so long. Like Voeckler at the tour, as soon as he cracked for real he let his man go and win the stage. If you've got a team riding for you, then you have to ride like a team player, if there is someone in a better position than you on the day then they should go for it.
  16. This will be pretty sick. Lots of nice TT courses to do on this side, the Glen and Signal Hill, Chappies, Ou Kaapse, Red Hill, Suikerbossie, Mount Rhodes. Then the flat sections as well.
  17. 2 Mins is quite a big gap for a social TT. The UCT one I went to (15people?) had 1min gaps, yes you catch people but it's over faster. If the courses are going to be 10km or Climbs then 1min should be fine I think.
  18. I was looking at a Ritchey WCS C260, 100grams for a great price. I was looking at that too, but the stem of said brand is the same price as the bars! Think I'll go with the Ritchey, just wait a bit to get the bars setup to see if I need a longer stem with the new shallow reach! Will all be ready for spring!
  19. I'm keen too! have any idea on what time it may be if it comes together?
  20. Next upgrade in mind is a stem. Any suggestions?
  21. Just ordered new bars and saddle off CRC. 220g's saved
  22. awesome pics
  23. I do between 1-2hrs on rollers when I can. Just base training for spring. When I've got time I do 2hrs, which is long. Most days it's 1hr30 and on days with other sports it's 1hr. But it all adds up to about 6hrs in the 5 days, which is great compared to nothing. Then I hit the hills on the weekend
  24. Neilswheels is quite close...if they don't know what to do with it, it might be there. Good luck in trying to find it.
  25. Thats what i'm seeing as well.
