Taute had 1 horrid game against Province. M Steyn should not be anywhere near the bench. Habana is way overrated and over the hill, always causing more damage than good with his out of position play. De Jong is way better than even De Villiers. Kerchner is not even good enough to make the bench. Hougaardt, maybe only as an impact player, maybe. That`s just the backs.

The frames differ between wheel sizes. The small Giant Anthem 29er fits me better than the medium, and a medium Anthem 26er fits me better than a small. A slightly big bike is still acceptable for a 26er, while a slightly big 29er will not be acceptable. It`s about agility and handling as well as fit.

If you want to cut out the R44, the Helderberg trails are now marked on the western side of the R44 (between Annondale road and Waterstone) and cuts out all of the R44. I like to ride from Stellenbosch, through Eden - towards the mountain on the Blaauwklippen road - it then becomes a dirtroad - cut through the farms onto the Annondale road - cross the R44 at the robot - onto western Helderberg trail - ends at Waterstone village. It not the straightest/shortest route but it cuts out the R44 completely.
