  1. Dammit can I not answer the question 1st? (I got more text in my reply!)
  2. Sorry no as far as I know there is no conversion possible with adapters with Shimano hubs. The hub will need to be replaced.
  3. But I got a pic in my post
  4. You will need to buy a new 15mm thru-axle fork - both Fox and Rockshox have 15mm thru-axle forks. Then you might need a new hub also, depending on whether or not your current hub can be converted to 15mm thru-axle. To convert a hub to 15mm you need special adapters. This is what the Stans ZTR hub adapters look like: http://www.notubes.com/Assets/ProductImages/ZTR-15-large.jpg
  5. Yeah go for it - was just a mild little drizzle just to pack the loose for extra grip.
  6. Huh-uh, mtb is not a winter sport, MUD SUCK!!! CHAIN MUD SUCK!!!
  7. Lekkker lekker modder koekies bak is als deel van die pret, maar ek gaan nie saam modder koekies bak nie want ek hou van drivetrains wat lank hou.
  8. Labels too big yacgh!
  9. A bit too bling for me.
  10. Jonkershoek is probably the best spot so I would recommend staying in Stellenbosch. Somerset West is also a good spot to stay as it is very central to all the riding spots and if you pm me I could organize you a ride on Lourensford.http://www.capetownmagazine.com//media_lib/r2/220257af21ec0c95ac7d0690ea7c99af.img.jpg
  11. Bottelary Hills Helderberg routes
  12. They feel/are stiffer than my Crest wheelset, I can not feel any flex in them, but I am a lightweight. Their weight limit is 95kgs. Not sure about dinging I have not encountered the problem. I like them a crap load.
  13. American Classic Race or Standard wheelsets. AC Race weighs in @1420g and is strong, pretty, super quality, and won`t bankrupt you. http://www.amclassic.com/media/k2/galleries/19/6-29Tubeless-Race-front.jpg
  14. Ikons with Exo? Been riding Ikon Exo for 2 years now, many rough kms and not 1 puncture that even required pumping it sealed so well. Also never had any problems with fitting Ikons to my Crest and AM Classic rims. Ikon tubeless setup was easier than with Ralphs. Ikons are fast all round xc racing tyres with low profile knobbies, I find them just a bit better than Ralphs in grip on most surface types.
  15. Nope. UST is bad for 29ers. Massive unnecessary extra weight. The Exo of the Ikon and the tubeless ready system of Schwalbe is very reliable. 29er tires - 590g for a Ikon Exo 2.2 vs 835g of Crossmark UST. Too much heaviness.
  16. Is it not better to have a moer stuck in a cone than a straight pipe? Yes it is. Sorry a bit gesuip now.
  17. Busy watching Star Wars Clone Wars
  18. Snuggling like a boss in the Cape winter:
  19. There were 2 eagles fighting over this meal when I arrived, I have a video of the 1 eagle (looks like a Black Eagle) sitting there like a boss after driving off the other.
  20. Saw this on my last mtb ride up the berg:
  21. Beware the racket a DTswiss hub can make! Get your partner a DTswiss 350 rear hub it will overwhelm your Hope hub noise by a mile.
  22. Just tap them straight into my vein!
