Whats with all this talk about the league being called off this year. not enough entries they said they need a minimum of 250 entries and they only have 95 !!! Cut off for entries is 31 of this month. I'm just repeating what i was told.

Do we get race number plates or those card things to put on our seat post ?

I have entered junior men/Elite, this is my first league racing, in fact my first proper road race!! What can i expect?

My usual training route is the R27 to Atlantis area, I often see a kid aged around 14 cycling behind a car, also not going that fast. Doing this is a sort of training for speed, but I'm not sure why bothering at that sort of speed ...

Quite funny, me and my dad are doing the exact same thing. Except we sleeping at the high school in tents before the race. Enjoy!!

Tuesdays and Thursday are for more advanced riders, but sometimes on Saturdays or Sundays their is development training.

You should bring him on wednesday at 6:30, that's the develpment riders there's bike there he can use. If you interested I'll give you the guys number who runs it.

On Friday night there is an Interprovincial Championship featuring Berhard Esterhuizen who came a creditable 11th place in the London Olympics. Council Representatives’ will be there on Friday to asses the popularity of the event. We need those stands FULL!! For those of you who have never watched track cycling it is incredibly exciting and promises to be a very entertaining evening with the opportunity to watch some of the best track exponents in SA in action. I love the Edge 500 defiantly the best for cycling, get it from evens cycles much cheaper. But the OP is looking for a Triathlon gps so its probably not the right thing.

Oh and its a 2011 frame and 2010 group set, also just got that Garmin. Cycling is expensive !!

Got a Giant advanced TCR with full Dura-ace and Mavic ksyrium SL. Bought it second hand from family, he only used for one race (the group set) then bought the frame and added the group set and wheels and sold it to me for R10 000 with a new frame. Not sure if its a good bike but i'm loving it. Also bought a track bike Fuji pro 1.0 weighing only 6.9kg i think.

Does the league increase your seeding for races such as the Cape Argus ?

Thanks ! so many options, i'm not even sure thats its worth putting one on my current road bike. I'm new to the sport and got no idea what most of this stuff means, but john wakefield recommends a power meter so i guess i'm going to have to look at getting one. Thanks for the repley

How much does it cost to install a power meter plus the unit on my bike, i have seen some online for around R7000 is this the average amount?
