  1. All my bikes are locked up in my bedroom, guarded by a very aggressive kitten. With a German Shepard outside my door... I think he sleeps there just for the cat.
  2. I used to carry it with me... Until i lost it somewhere I know these people who have used it a few times. saved their life in one occasion.
  3. I might not be able to reply via the Hub. Leave your number please. I will still be able to see your reply on this thread, but won't be able to reply always as i'm staying near the Forrest out of signal. I'm in Rheenendal
  4. Don't let that chase you away from cycling. Never heard of any thing like that before. Those Cannondale's are great bikes, one day i would love to own one. How long ago did this happen ? Maybe there office is closed around this time of year. Good luck
  5. Howzit guys I'm going to be in Knysna from the 2nd January to the 14th. Looking for some long rides. Long fast. Short fast, slow long- i'm flexible. Preferably Road as i'm training for league racing, MTB rides are just fine with me seems so Knysna is the MTB capital of SA i would say Happy with group rides or just ride partners ? So is any one is knysna ? Regards Josh
  6. 554km Ascent 5437 m. Garmin still not working so can't upload. Used the history function to work those figures out.

  8. Math is hard... 61.8 x 2.2 / 170 * 39.37 = 31.48
  9. How often do you go for one with John ?
  10. Thanks for all the help guys. So to summarize what everyone is saying... 1) BMI is stupid 2) The lighter you are the easier it is to climb 3) I should stop eating those chocolates I've been hiding??
  11. Could there be another 99er route ride ? Missed this one, still away. I only get back on the 14th, then there's league. Any weekend or Sunday when there's not league racing (20th?)
  12. Soo today i went out for a MTB ride. I had coffee at melissa's. As i was getting on my bike to ride home Chris Froome rode past, i wasn't sure if it was him at first but the sky car gave it away. He's stalking me... Ok fine i followed his sky car to see where he was going. I think he's stays somewhere in parkview (Not sure if thats a real place but i saw a sign saying that somewhere)
  13. I have a 70 mm stem. Just because my bikes frame is a little big. I'm guessing that makes me more un-aerodynamic ?? Now i have a new excuse for not being able to keep up with people on the downhills
  14. Congrats on new bike. love the integrated seat post !!
  15. 504km all together. 150km +/_- MTB. Will check ascent, its probably a lot because it's all done in JHB... This place is one big hill. Sadly have to do another 110 tomorrow. Legs don't feel nice.
  16. I leave on Wednesday morning
  17. Could be pedal position. Or shoe shape. Carbon soles will limit the pain because the don't flex as much. I got a shoe fitment and inserts made.
  18. Enjoying my holiday in JHB. quite road and nice weather. I still get lost every time i go for a ride though.
  19. I flew past him the other day. He might of been going in the other direction but it still counts...
  20. Suplest
  21. I still get very bruised after a ride. Mostly on my hands but also on my back and shoulders. Not sure if that's from lack of muscle or just doing something wrong.
  22. Get better Grips.. i just bought ESI grips because i had the same problem. Been out twice with them and no hassle. Also about conditioning your palms.
  23. Rode with him for a bit, nice guy. Greeted and wished him good luck. I've seen alot of pro's there lately. On thursday i saw 6 sky team members riding with there own Jaguar following them. It was K@k hot today. Got there at 6h30 and left at 11h00. Garmin told me it was 39 degress by 9h30!!!
