Grebel - in response to your first post, I was also a little taken back by the registration setup and was expecting more, signage was poor and stalls pathetic, but like Cosborne I concerntrate on race day so not to phased. After all the emails I got from the organisers throughout the year I was expecting more at registration - I am not a MTB'er but they seem to be more jacked.

Dangle - the pic was taken (of me) at the recent Clover Tour and was sent to me. I also though it was cool so used as avatar.

Reading this post wouldnt it be nice if CSA gave cyclist the option to participate in a voluntary marshalling roster throughtout the year! In that way we can all chip in an help make races safer - well i suppose that would be in an ideal world.

For what its worth I had two accidents with my Las. The helmet did protect my nut and slightly damaged but not to the extent that needed immeadiate replacing. I know I should have replaced, which I eventually did after I had washed the hemlet and tried to dry in front of the oven and melted the plastic clips - I know doff!

I dont think there is an answer. I have always just estimated my saddle size, I am 66km so a small narrow saddle works for me. I suppose a heavier guy will go for something more supportive.

A half a PVM (lime) bar for 100km works for me - racing A full one + banana in training

Woody, nope not in any of the pics, but CR did take pics of us on the route but we were two abreast and thise pics were obviously not posted! Agteros - I understand what you say, but I maintain a bit of patience and understanding will go along way from all parties concerned. And yes obviously the guys that pee on the road and ride in the middle of it are plain stupid and I cant relate to those people...its funny that Ive never heard of complaints from any of the residents from the many areas I ride through in Jozi and still maintain this is a small minority who simply have it in for cyclist, but that's my opinion.
