  3. I remember back in 1999/2000 Herald Cycle Tour in PE .Sheldon Thyssen finishing amongs't Team HSBC in the sprint . I think their time was around the 2h38 mark .
  4. Thanks Brett . Will do so
  5. Is it possible to get a similar product locally ? Tried to google it but keeps throwing out CRC etc .
  6. I had the same problem on my Edge 800 . Did the firmware update about 3 weeks ago and have never had that problem again .
  7. Problem solved ,
  8. Thanks Zula . I contacted them yesterday and was told by a technician that they had never heard of this problem before
  9. OK , so I got my bike back last night . They swopped out to the original cables (which they hadn't done before) They just used the original 105 cables (brake and gear) . They also greased all the pivot points on the little ferule which holds the brake cable end as well as adding the cable stops (which also weren't there before) I haven't yet ridden the bike , but when you lift the front wheel off the floor and drop it there is no rattle/buzzing as before . I will take her for a ride tomorrow and see what happens .
  10. Who are the SRAM agents in SA ?
  11. Thanks for all your effort Tiny . I am sure I will get to the bottom of it . I will post the results (watch this space)
  12. This is exactly what it sounds like , not my video , but somebody else has the same problem .
  13. Thanks Tiny , will ask the lbs to have a look for me ,
  14. Tiny , are you talking about a stopper that sits inside the hood , or at the back of the brake lever between the paddle shift and the brake ?
  15. Nope , Mavic Aksium , its definately not the whhels as I have just changed from 105 and had no vibration at all . Thanks for your suggestion though .
  16. Not sorted yet Dale , but hopefully will be later today .
  17. Thanks for the response guys , I have tried gripping the brakes slightly , then the noise/buzzing goes away . Its definately not the shifter paddle touching the brake lever causing it . I have looked at the SRAM website technical section and they say that the brake mechanism inn the hood needs a little grease , I dont know if that will help though . Even if I lift the front wheel off the ground and drop the wheel down you can hear the resonating vibration , it almost sounds like there is a tiny little part loose inside , The strange part is that it does it on front and rear shifters
  18. Do any other hubbers have a similar problem ? I have continious buzzing comming from both shifters when riding . I have checked a few other forums where they refer to the brake end not being seated into the correct "side" of the holding device on the brake lever , but I have checked that and mine are . I also checked that its not coming from the shift paddle neither as I pull them towards the handlebar and the "buzzing" is still there . I am going back to the lbs today , maybe they know a quick fix ?
  19. Wow . I must say its not often that I jump out my seat watching any cycling races , but yesterday victory by Froome had me doing exactly that , it was brilliant .

Hi everybody , what a great forum to belong to, with all the info here I'm sure that somebody may have the answer to the following . When will the above groupset realistically be available , as I I tried CRC but they are talking about stock arriving end November beginning December 2011 .
