  1. Hey Rex, if your wear your rain coat under your cycling sweater, and your cycling sweater gets wet, do you take the raincoat back to that shop and say K@K raincoat.. Please be a bit more intelligent wen posting remarks about tires specifically marked DRY slipping in the wet. Seems you still old school, taking a knife to a gunfight..   2. A word on avid. even when new, outa the box, reblead them. i promise, there is a uge diff to be felt, and we proved it. reblead your new elixer 5's with a decent grade Dot 5 and you will experience a very diff brake. Just do it.

  5. hi how does one set up the rear suspension on a 96. does it get set up with sag or not, and if so, how much. How much psi for 80kg

  8. Just pump the thing to 60psi. ride it for a while leave it like that overnight next day deflate it to 40 psi....it will no longer burp
  9. The two bikes are the Merida96 1200D 2011 Giant Anthem X2 2010 i was told both are very good handlers, but in the end there always seems to be the better one.. please help with this decision.

DONT USE AMONIA BASED SEALANT ie Joes.... rather use slime pro two years later, it had eaten the metal of my rims and causing the white paint to blister it looks like its rotting. where you can clearly see this is around the valve hole. Everything was trial and error 2 years ago. Cape Cycle systems says " oh, now we know, by the way dont use the sealant you using" So two years later, it cost me 5k had i stuck with slime filled tubes, i mite have had the occasional flat but my rims would still have been good. SO....if its abrasive to your hand, stay clear of it. Luckily for me, i had a very understanding insurance company.

  19. one year now with them. front one got a nice thorn in its tread, pulled it out but it wouldnt seal. 120ml of stans just squirted out the tiny hole. had to stick a patch on the inside wen i got home. all fine now. very fast, very little grip up front. if you know where you going, great. if you dont (not knowing the race terain ) fit conti's its a race tire, racers dont want grip

  23. just switch to speedplay's set float to 15deg goodbuy knee issues or you could listen to wot being said here, and continue putting yourself through pain
  24. could be the alignment, but first spray it with disc brake cleaner, rotors and pads, then try it. if not, check pad alignment
