  3. from 100 to 120mm will slacken the head angle by 1 deg, this will affect the bikes handling. if the frame was not designed for a 120mm fork, you will place unnecessary strain on the head set. good possibility of cracking the head tube
  4. When new on the bike in the LBS there's a tag around the left leg.CAUTION. not intended for off road use. Johan and wot happens wen in the blink of an eye the regular intended use turns into a situation where all your prayers are on that front thing. Part no 7 has a plastic thread, that turns into part no 1. its at that moment, the blink of an eye, dude you havent even started your prayers, when that thing ejects from its hold, firing directly at you, collapsing under weight you have put over it... RodTi. just dump it, some dude here is selling a fox for 2K. just buy it. im riding mtb since 1999, ive seen too many people get hurt cause they let something do wot its not intended for. And yes sure, you will be careful. the environment never is.
  5. its funny how everyone wants a carbon 4" dual suspension race bike... when, past weekend the oak Valley 24hr was won on a 14kg Giant 5" trail bike ridden by a 60yr old toppie.. And his theory..."if its not comfortable, you not gonna be on it for long."
  6. Giant Anthem 29er was the bike of choice at the Oakvalley 24hr.
  7. YOU GONNA BREAK YOUR NECK WITH THAT THING. ITS NOT INTENDED FOR OFF ROAD USE. and if you think im talking crap, wait until you break your neck
  8. would be interesting if it had a gig of mem, then you could upload a nice porno movie for the ride
  9. XT chain cassette and crank, waye over 5000km on it, no worries drive-train has always only seen Rock n Roll its wen you start clogging up your stuff with wax, that things dont last.
  10. Make a note and stick it on your handlebar....."never act like a monkey wen there's a woman around"

  13. It will be my first time at Oak VAlley Will i need the fast Rubena Scylla's with very little grip or do i fit the Swallbe Rocket Rons?
  14. Fork them. go book a service at the Lab. you get wot you pay for
  15. The very bottom line. Elixer brakes dont work well with the G3 / G2 rotor. my bike has been back and forth to the Agents. there were more people riding my bike than i was. eventually i got gatvol, fetched the bike, said thank you very much walked in at the next bike shop, bought 2 other brand rotors, and it instantly solved the problem. so yes, you can do this and that and rub it with copper stuff.....it still wont work. The combination of the Elixer caliper, rotor and pad.DOESN'T WORK.... using the same 3 things over and over cannot produce a different result
  16. take a wooden peg apart, when you remove your wheel stick the peg in between the pads.
  17. Hi. im looking for the contact details of the guy in Cape Town that sells these lights, i need one urgently
  18. you should not ride specialized
  19. seems like some of you are just ticked off cause you payed so much money for your lights, now along comes this Magic thing at such a good price. Stop running bargains down, its not nice. Not every one out there can splash out 4k on lights. well done to you if your ass has money. FAstbike imagine how you will feel when your state of the art thingy breaks and theres no back up at a race for you. guaranteed 40 lights like you have at a race, some will fail... it really seems you just pissed off cause you cant sell your brand. Get over it dude..

  22. 11/34. why do you want to try and be superman with a 11/32
  23. looks like the magic 808 will do the job. Thanks for the beam shots
  24. Also had a look at the Exposure DiabloMKII today. but the issue is the shops all demo the light during the day and that doesn't give any idea of width or depth of the beam. the Exposure is also rated at 700Lumens ... now im really confused. maybe i should just leave the nite riding alone
  25. Im looking at the majicshine 818(i think) its the triple one or the Blackburn X6 double unit. the Blackburn claims 22o lumen s and the majicshine 1400 lumen s Are these outputs accurate.
