Great advise from the above guys! I spoke with a pro last night - gave him a similar question. His response was that you cant improve your fitness in a week. The body will need up to 48hrs to recover from training that is heavier than what it's used to. Plus, loosing more than 4kg per month is never clever. Dude, dont quit the event. I assume you are already entered and paid. All you can do now is see it as the beginning of your base trainging. Go out there and relax. Enjoy it

Virgin Active have made a serious mistake with those bikes. They are just simply not fit for purpose. I refuse to use them. Will changed gym locations as they install those bikes - will even change to PF.

What races do you do? The crashes I've seen & had with bunch concertinas in the faster rides have been horrific. Old lost city race was famous for sudden bunch squashes. We couldn't stop in time, hit the guy in front and bounced in somersaults over the guys we crashed into. I’ll buy a set of these Bring on the brakes! The tyre guys will adapt the tyres to follow suite.

But I agree with the other comments, with overcrowding in the prison's the Dept DCS will put those 2 lucky bastards on a hotlist to get out of Chukkie and into a suspended sentance program.
