My Mtb is a Silverback and it cost R3 250.00 and it has pedals and gears and a saddle and handle bars and wheels with tyre and i enjoy riding it.

i think that is a good example of more money than brains!

i ONCE used a torque wrench to tighten my cleats as per manufacturer and pulled the thread out of my shoes resulting in an unexpected trip to the shop to buy new shoes. I just use common sence and when it feels tight enough it usually is

Not pointing fingures at you: When people go out and buy new stuff they dont always find out the correct information first. When must people on thehub bought a bicycle they went to lots of shops and read lots of info on the internet and sked advice from thehub and friends and thats how they make informed decisions. Now when it comes to DSTV and HD everyone wants the be that guy that has HDDTSV so he can invite his mates over to watch the HD Sport on his NEW TV and HDDSTV and he hurries off to the shops to get his new braging rights before his buddy does, and there u are wasting your money on stuff that has not been resurched properly.

Surely there must be the correct information provided by them to you before you go out and purchase the thing?

I would agree with every1 about the better componants. You pay extra money coz it says specialized and im not sure that it can be justified, any bike that has a manufacture fault will usually show withing the first 12 months. Im not sure what the guarantee is on Specialized vs Felt but i assume that if there is someting that is wrong with a bike and the dealer can see that its a manufacture fault they will replace the frame. That is how you create a good name for your product and that im sure is what most businesses strive to achieve.
