I bought a balance bike for mine when she turned 2. She still loves riding her scooter, but she is slowly starting to experience the balance bike, it is currently a walking exercise with the bike, but I think once she is a bit taller it will become a riding exercise.

for sure, I am always trying to be very aware of those little hands. She loves spinning the pedals and always ready to help, so far, so good. thanks for the heads-up.

I bought a silverback storm with ZTR crest wheels when I was still tipping the scale on 113kg. till today I have not had a problem with the wheels or the bike. so I agree that stronger wheels are better for heavy riders and that most bikes should be able to take heavy riders. a lot will depend on the kind of riding you do, and the abuse you put your bike through on a daily basis.
