  1. Awesome!!! Congrats man, know this has been a dream to do your own build and it looks awesome! Many happy and safe km's
  2. About time!! Waiting in anticipation
  3. Wow, this is freaken insane!!! Mad skills.
  4. Great ou maat, lyk al lekker. As sy klaar is moet jy bietjie hier in die Kaap ordentlike single track kom jaag.... hehehe
  5. Will be following this build... congrats pellie!!
  6. I might still be sorting out the big move from Gauteng to CT... if not I'm there.
  7. Had a couple of those rides where you are still 'warm' from the night before and vow every single time to never do it again. Works well to get the toxins out but the first 10 or 20 km's are terrible. Feel better afterwards though and it helps to get the post ride beer to go down oh so smooth.
  8. I bought a Scott Aspect 10 a couple of years back and in my opinion one of the best entry level bikes to hit the shelves. Did a lot of races on it and even a stage race. Would probably still be riding it if it wasn't donated to the less privileged one morning from the back of my car. My opinion, maybe add some dough and get something that is adequately specced. Even if it is something 2nd hand that is well looked after. You will enjoy it a whole lot more than on something that is going to give you trouble in the long run. Personally I'm a bit bias towards the GT, but that is just personal opinion. I have moved from Scott to Giant and haven't looked back. Everybody has their personal opinion and likes and dislikes, the best way is to get on the bikes and ride them before you decide, if it is possible. Good luck... no matter what you decide on... there is no feeling that beats the feeling that you get from hitting a trail on your machine's maiden voyage.
  9. Sad thing is I used to stay in Pretoria and the areas identified is where I used to train and in a lot of cases doing it solo. It's really sad to see these threads where both cyclists and runners are attacked. Hope your brothers recovers quickly.
  10. I just bought a Giant Composite XTC for a similar price with a similar component setup. These Zaskar frames are awesome, personally I wouldn't think twice. Aesthetically I don't like the white frame, but that is just personal taste.... if I had to say something negative
  11. Just relocated from Gauteng to Cape Town. Maybe it's a good time now to give the ol bike a goos once over to make sure that everything is clicking and clacking when the weather clears up.
  12. I bought mine October 2011 and haven't looked back. I did research quite intensely and as far as value for money on the components and aesthetics are concerned I'll back this bike a thousand times over. If I compare it with the amount of times my buddies who have bought bikes in this price range had to have their machines fixed this is an obvious choice... my personal opinion.
  13. No luck This was my first race and would like to have a photo of it, but no luck...
  14. Thanks, will give it a bash!
  15. Good morning, Does anybody know where I might obtain photos of the 2012 Lionman??
