Seems like the 2018 Sportiff #1 was included in seeding, but with 5 penalty... Edit:Actually, all of the sportiffs have 5 penalty at the moment

Hope you heat the water above 50c every now and again , you created perfect enviroment(35-38C) for germs to grow in. Most germs only gets killed >45c so recomended min for geyser is 50C. Just buy some water from local spar , R20?/5l and imported from vereeniging or somewhere up country already. Then we get your water and your money

Somewhere lost in the thread is calculations of impact .. about 0.03% increase in water usage if extra ?45000(family etc) come down for 2 days. Edit: From Press Release: It is estimated that visitors coming to Cape Town for the event will use between 1.5-million to 1.750-million litres of water over the duration of their stay. The Cape Town Cycle Tour Trust – who represent our two key beneficiaries – has therefore committed to taking some of the money that would have gone to charitable distribution to purchase an amount of 2-million litres of spring water sourced from only licenced and fully tested suppliers, and from an area not experiencing drought. This water will be put back into the local water grid. We are working closely with the City of Cape Town around the mechanics of how this water will be introduced back into the municipal reticulation system.

And thats only 1.2% for about 2 days. (out of 77 left till day 0) so, 2/77 => 2.5% of days left till day zero the water usage will increase by 1.2% .. about 0.03% impact i think (my wiskunde is geroes)

Most large buildings aircons all work with evoparitive water as its lot cheaper than compressors/eskom. Where my better half work , if I recalll correctley,use about 10kl water per day to keep server Room (IT) cold. They drilled boreholes now, not to use muni water, but of course, this use ground water which can very well run dry. I assume there be many buildings like this, I know of few here in Stellies as well (gym etc) but that ok, one just sweat bit more without aircon. Wondering if Gyms gonna shut down, people sweat to much so use more water...
