  10. Before I begin yes I did search for a similar topic in theHubs Forums but found nothing similar, hence the new post. I'm in the process of buying a road bike so natrually one needs to ride on the road with one of those. Unfortunately we're living in a time where most vehicles have little or no regard for cyclists. My question to all cyclists living in the mother city is where's the best/safest place to cycle? Or better yet I guess I could also ask also what areas to avoid when cycling on the road. Look forward to your feedback...
  11. Cycle Lab sells it.
  12. My riding meals of choice is either boiled baby potatoes(easy to eat while you ride) or a hotdog roll with the insides ripped out that has peanut butter/nutello inside and a whole banana. yum
  13. Yeah this is what my riding desperately needs. Needs to start putting down decent 80km + cycles. Feel it will help my racing loads, it's just the cars around you that are the buggers.
  14. I'm looking to buy a road bike. It'll purely be for training purposes so it doesn't have to be dripping with carbon and SRAM components. Can anyone advise any possilbe opyions? Been looking in the classifieds but also considering buying new.
  15. looks like i need to start looking into buying a road bike...
  16. Yip, Taxi's the most off putting thing about hitting the road :/
  17. I'm a mountain biker by heart, love it to bits. However I've heard from a couple of fellow mountain bikers that riding on the road is really good training too, apparently it's really beneficial. Are they talking sense? Cheers
  18. Made the move over to Tubeless. Geax Saguaro tires. Raced out in Paarl over the weekend and absolutely loved the tires. So glad I made the shift over to tubeless.
  19. Thanx for the feedback all, much appreciated!
  20. I have a Merida MATTS TFS 500 26er that has Alexrims. I'm wanting to convert to tubeless and have been offered two different choices from two respectible cycling shops. option1: The one store says I need tubeless tires as well as Stans Tubeless Conversion Kit. option2: The other store says I need tubeless tires and the tubeless tape to perform the conversion. option1 was the more expensive of the two. Some feedback would be much appreciated. Thanx
