  1. It fell apart with no-one being able to go. Been a bit busy and sickly so haven't been able to get out again. I'm doing the Nissan Trailseeker in Cullinan so will only be in the cradle the weekend after that
  2. So I have spoken to a work colleague of mine and he is keen to join in the cradle. We are going to go out on Friday morning for a short ride in the cradle. Are you still keen to join for a ride?
  3. I'm based in the Northcliff area. Two slowbies starting off.. works for me. I'm only good to start in the cradle on the Easter weekend.. perhaps friday?
  4. I"m looking to do the 94.7 this year for the first time too. I would be keen on joining a group as i'm useless at getting up and going out on my own. Let me know if you are still looking for peeps. I'm not a beginner but have been "too busy" to ride so my fitness isn't great and my speeds aren't great either.
  5. NIce bike.... I dream of being a big person owning a Dogma... One day soon......
  6. Thanks Wyatt Earp. Hopefully the dirty thirties implies more mud and riding edit - spelling
  7. I might get shot for this, but I realise that my bikes, gadgets, and my sports are waaaaay more important than... most many other things in my life
  8. I woke up this morning to find this little gadget for my birthday present from the fiance.
  9. It's my first of this series. Looking forward to it!
  10. That is just the business.... so aweseome. Can you send us more info on their processes and how it all works?

    Triathlon ......

I hope everyone has had some time to do good training... Other than 70.3 and IMSA, what other triathlons has everyone got planned for this year? I'm starting with the Sasol Cross on 23rd of February
  12. I think this is a great initiative Wyatt. I've followed and tweeted. I think we, as a global society, are always in too much of a rush because of the demand placed on us. This is a simple rule that we should follow in all aspects of our lives. Family, children, work. All of it.

    Triathlon ......

I think I'm going to give it a few weeks till January to decide whether or not it's for me. I did try the Gravity Pilates and that seems to give me quite a full-body work out. I'm not so good with doing things on my own at home so it's best that I go to a class

    Triathlon ......

Has anyone tried yoga for stretching after being on the bike quite a lot? I tried Anti-Gravity Yoga yesterday and seemed to walk off feeling more tender than before . Are there any long term benefits of Yoga and Pilates?
  15. Consider putting your bike under your all risk section of your house cover. It covers you in totality. My bike was stolen last year and they just asked me to prove forced entry and bam! Money was in the account a few days later.
  16. You will need to ask if they will cover you during races, and if they cover accessories such as pedals and so on

    Triathlon ......

Thanks for the opeing, but I think my fitness levels are non-existent at the moment. Think there is quite a bit more training before I venture out to the Cradle. I will keep that in mind though.

    Triathlon ......

Thanks for starting the topic JGR. So I've been struggling to get into training this year. So much has been happening. So... Anyone in the Randburg/Sandton area that is needing to start training from scratch can contact me. I also need some motivation so anyone experienced that feels like helping out with some training tips to get me going, are free to do so
  20. I'm on Discovery's Key Care Plus, at R1490/month. I go to network GP's and hospitals and I pay almost nothing in. I can go to the GP as many times as I need, and as long as I get authorisation for hospital visits, it only costs me around R300 to check in. I've had a number of procedures in the last few years (totaling over R80k) and my total pay in has been in the region of about R2500. It's really a great plan if you use if properly and follow their rules about procedures.
  21. Here is the flyer off the website
  22. I'm not sure if anyone has seen this.. http://www.xdirt.co.za/ Seems like it could be a good replacement for the BSG Series
  23. I suggest what AfdElite said. I went for a fitting and it was like I had a whole new bike and biking experience
