if 94.7 is uaed then the balance of racetec races should as well. Options are 1. Bump me to VB - I'll pay in the difference. 2. Reseed to A or B 3. Refund me. I'd rather do the Audax than ride HL. This means the non-participation in ALL future Championchip races ;(

I have been places in HL. What is the proceas to be seeded to BL. I have been seeded AL for Serengeti & Ride for Sight, BL for Berge en Dale. Funished with the front main geoup of BL every time

agreed. There were a lot if us who fell back to BL. Average of 150 in each. Sounds reasonable to me. Problem is the blandness of the route, which was exactly the reason why the race is so big? *no challenges* and more so with no real wind...

Agreed. I also stayed towards the front of BL and only saw the 2 cyclists falling on the coned section just before the intersection turning left. To the guys who were riding on the wrong side of the road and pushing in when traffic approaches... eish dudes, I am sorry you did not get your Darwin awards. However I can only imagine the chaos you caused further back in the bunch based on the amount of swearing I heard every time this happened... Reasonably happy with my 3:03

absolutely! From what I remember there wasn't any strong winds that day as well. Standard disclaimer as per unit trusts: "past performance is no indication of future expectations" Only reason I am galling back to B.is that I will not be able to cope with the surges in AL

If no wind the first place where bunches will break up is at around 43km. Up to there it is effectively ALL downhill

I am sticking with falling back to B. Did my only R4S two years ago in 3:00 and some seconds. I have a completely different gitness / strength profile now, some better aspects, others worse... not too confident oc a sub 3. Might just seek out @cyclewizz and suck his wheel...

Us guys tend to go too hard out the blocks, so no help required there unless it is restraint. Stay in the bunch until out of Heidelberg and then start to liven things up. 3H00 = 38.66 km/h average speed...

In the past, for smaller events, (non 94.7) you could get into the A bunch with a sub 20 seeding. You do not belong there with a seesing like that as you will have a torrid race being shelled from every bunch overtaking you. Hence why I am falling back to B!

In the past seeding for races upcountry used to use your single best seeding over the past year without using any beta or anything like it. The official line was that they use the avg of your best three, however the reality was 1 event. Hence the rush for the flat races. PPA penalise the flat races with a lower beta (difficulty score), which does/did not happen upcountry. What is happening for upcountry races (seeding wise) at the moment is way less clear than mud.

People read up on how PPA does their seeding and think thst is how races upcountry are seeded as well...

Crowded race.. last time I did it they promised it to be a SASeeding... yeah like that happened. Was the only reason I paid 5x + the going rate to ride NF. Not doing it again!
