I always prefered bass fishing as i like been able to walk around the dam and cast and not have to sit and wait for the carp or catfish to take the bait, it feels like more of a challenge. 2 years ago my mate introduced me to fly fishing, incorrectly cause he is a lefty and i am actually a righty, however I am seriously keen on taking it up as a once a month relaxation as fishing with a bass rod just doesn`t excite me anymore. So any info regarding gettting started?, Basic equipment first and lures?, I want to get into it and then progress. Where do you fly fish in Gauteng and what are the seasons like?
