  2. Just submitted my second set of audit docs for the year ... hopefully they can stop looking for excuses not to pay me and just effing pay me already ... I really need the dosh
  3. Nah. The Dangle would take him. (Or is that the Sherrif's new nom-de-guerre?)
  4. Well, you get 'Made in Seff êfrika' and you get 'Made in South Africa'
  5. Submitted originals last week, audited this week. Really really hope they get done with the audit quickly (5th year I'm audited in a row)
  6. Anyone catch Siren? It's on Showmax.
  7. They don't .. but I do. Swing by if you want some. Last I checked there was Kiaat, Rhodesian Teak, Yellowwood, Stinkwood, Walnut, Ironwood and more in there. Not that many big pieces but for what you want to do it'll be perfect.
  8. Aan die positiewe kant, hy is een van 4 tieners in die land wat hierdie week lank genoeg sy gesiggie van ‘n ipad of selfoon kon wegkry om iets anders te doen
  9. I can help - I helped build the climbing wall in Arcadia Centre many, many moons ago with Mike Behr. I can also supply you with the t-nuts you need on the back to hold the grips on. Shoot me an email on chief@treeware.co.za so we can chat.
  10. Nope, it's always ankle deep. Sometimes feet first, sometimes head first.
  11. Missus Pants Boy said no ... Actually, what she said was rated R for language and profanity, but it boils down to the same thing. Apparently there's some other projects on her 'hubby must do' list that I need to tackle before. However, let me rather sort you out with a planter in any case - will be in contact over mail later in the week
  12. Send pics to chief@treeware.co.za ... you never know
  13. Kids love stuff they can eat 'immediately' - ie snap peas, carrots and beans are great. Best advice I've ever been given regarding veggie gardening is to ONLY plant what you (and your family) eat. No help in planting Habaneros if no-one in your house eats hot stuff.
  14. You have to share more here buddy ... process, costs, where what how when? I luuuuvvvve me some shrooms (no no, not the wild coast kind)
  15. Finalized the geenhouse planters and finished up the sprinklers. Looking for suggestion for the last planter box that has nothing planned for it yet. The others have herbs that we use, some leafy salad, carrots, beetroot, jalapenos and tabasco peppers and radishes in. Have tomatoes, red onions, beans, butternut, cucumber, lettuce (think it's Cos variety, not sure) as well as spinach and peas in the outside garden.
  16. Would be funny if true. https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/noahs-ark-park-flooded/
  17. Fencing going up around the veggie patch, and posts in fir the start of the chicken coop. I'm making the veggie patch smaller by about 15m2, and adding a chicken coop of 10m2 right next to it. Also need to make new washing lines as the one dating from the Jurassic era is kinda long in the tooth now. You can see the shadow line from the house on the patch (well, kinda) that's where I'm cutting it off. Also, fig tree is SO ready for summer - every twig sporting a few leaves and at least two figs.
  18. Yeah I'm pretty gatvol of their digging up my veggies. Little ****s ... that's the thanks I get for rescuing them I'm also planning a chicken coop next to the veggie patch ... wtf am I thinking?
  19. Something my old toppie learned me is to dig your hole twice the size of the pole you're planting, then put the pole in, then dump DRY concrete mix in, tamp it down and then add a bucket of water. Always worked great for us, it gives you a rock solid base for the pole, and it also gives you a little better control to be 100% sure the pole is straight before cementing it. I'm busy building a fence around my veggie garden to keep the Labramonsters out of it. will be planting the poles in this way again.
  20. Made some planters for my greenhouse. There's actually 4 of them in there now, but only these two are filled with soil and plumbed. I've got space for a total of 6 of these in there, with that much space between them. Planted some herbs so far, also sowed a bunch of chilli seeds as well as some onions and baby spinach and mustard greens. Plan is to plant quite a bit more, not 100% sure as to what though - I've got a big-ass outside veggie garden as well where the tomatoes, spinach and beans are already growing.
  21. Have you tried NJR steel in Silverton? Or Stan Rio, also in Silverton (they are more pricey than most other shops in Pta area but they quite often have stock others don't)
  22. Really hope I have the right guy here - he's saved on a clipboard on my workshop wall as Planke Saag Fanie Steynberg - 072 720 7272
  23. There's a guy in Villieria that resaws lumber like that - he's done 2x 16mm out of a 40mm plank for me before. Will find his number and post it here.
