  1. Sho, lots of angry comments all over facebroek as well. Seems peeps didn't dig the sand (or the waterpoints going home at 2)
  2. Schweet! Oncve again thanks for the effort.
  3. Lol. Just excited that I've achieved something Thanks for the effort (once again)
  4. Methinks that's a real good price! Pity I got 2 free services when I bought my bike, will use them up firts
  5. Lol me three. Tired of going at it alone (Wife is expecting so not riding at the moment)
  6. Hey that's a good one!
  7. I know the dirt-bikers have a route from C/O hans strydom and Bronkhorstspruit road that goes all the way to cullinan. It cuts through Piernaarspoort, and then onto some farm track for a bit, then you see tar (but don't drive on it) after the poort at Rayton. Should be possible ona MTB.
  8. Mons, my boet lives in Bashewa and have had that 'mythical' wyfieluiperd in his chicken coop.
  9. What I've found works really well is a pick-axe through the bonnet of said vehicle/weapon. Preferably late at night, after which you ring the doorbell and leave. Followed up by a phone call from a tickybox some miles away the next day
  10. Ciao. Don't let the door hit you on the ass on the way out
  11. Aaarrrgghhhh .... missed two days commuting a week for two weeks ...
  12. Small claims up to R12500 now. 1) Go to the copshop, and make a decent, clearly written statement, void of any emotions. 2) Ask the cops if they would be willing to give you address information on the car's owners, as you'd like to try and find restitution outside of court. 3) Go to 3 (pain in the butt) bike shops and get assessment for repairing you bike and kit. Include everything that seems fair - helmet replacement, torn clothes, etc. Get the shop to draft a letter (they should have one ready from most manufacturers) as to why, for example, the helmet needs replacement. DON'T SPECIFY UPGRADED PARTS, as tempting as you may think it is. 4) Get a lawyer's letter drawn up. These cost (normally) in the region of R500 and should include delivery by the lawyer's office. The lawyer should help here, but you need to include the details of the incident, the details of the damage, and then he three quotes as well, offering the option of payment by them for the repairs to your bike and kit as full and final compensation for damages incurred. Also include a due date - 30 days should suffice 5) Have the letter delivered - if not by the lawyer, by a courier company that will ask for ID and signature before delivering. 6) From here one of two things will happen - they will either contact you (or your lawyer) to negotiate, or they will ignore you. If the 30 days is up and they have not PAID you (at this point you can ignore letters and statements etc) institute a small claim - once gain ask a lawyer for his advice on how best to approach this, as they will know best, but cannot represent you at small claims court. This should fall under a consultation, expect to fork out R300 - R500 for this 'service' from the lawyer. You can add this to your claim (as well as the original letter's cost) 7) Be patient - the SCC is packed and overworked. A claim can take up to a year to be heard, and may be postponed or delayed. Good luck!
  13. Was there last weekend, as described above. It's actually a damn fine trck, dunno why it's not better sujpported (and it's free? Or is MTB the new Golf where you have to pay)
  14. It's so fast you won't have time to sit down
  15. Was thinking along those lines when looking at the 'in situ' helmet this weekend, but fortunately CWC is out of stock in any case I'll pop into a couple of stores this weekend and go shopping
  16. R899 at Solomons (this month's special), R960 at Cape Multi Sports. Ouch @ SWH
  17. Shot thanks! CWC had them for R490 I think, that was a good deal ...
  18. IMNSHO, if you want loyalty, either get a dog or pay more. This explains everyone on here's frustration with the chain - no knowledgeable people when we can get to the shop I think you may be onto a good thing here - if you run the shop as to what it is being portrayed here - a shop dedicated to cycling, branded as SWH. Look after your staff first, and they will look after your customers. Good luck with your endeavors, and keep us updated!
  19. I'm also in the market for a helmet in that price range (and also have a Dunlop helmet lol) Had a look at a guy's Watu on Klapperkop on Sunday, seems like it has really nice flow, and it's a lot lighter than the Dunlop. Saw CWC had them, but now out of stock ... sigh.
  20. Location United Kingdom?
