  1. Maybe some rod through the cross grain to strengthen it too? nice job btw. edit - I always think those handles are kind of dumb because I inevitable bump knuckles against the hot pot or lose some hair on my fingers from the flame... perhaps a variant 2 at 45 degrees?
  2. I tried it last week - works fine to froth indeed - but does change the mouth feel a bit - Might just be a change of taste I am noticing. As an aside from this - I have had good success with Spar brand UHT long life milk if you want to get some stocks in - square container with a green top. I am about to start with an experiment on what freezing woolies fresh milk will have - bottle defrosting now.... bottle only expires on 4/4 and has been frozen 2 days - will be interesting to see - never tried this one before - all I noticed so far is that the plastic was significantly expanded when I took it out the freezer - if it works then I will use a little first out the bottle rather than risk a massive leak in the freezer.
  3. Not in this world, or the next......
  4. Medicaĺly you have most of the options already except doing a proper allergy panel and taking treatment from there by an allergy specialist. Practically, You can try a visible layer of talcum powder - this works for fiberglass dust but what will happen once you start sweating I dont know.
  5. Saddle rails are not normally bonded into the plastic - press fitted - if you buy a Sella Italia saddle they can replace broken rails - only ever done that once myself,
  6. I don't think a test is really necessary if you are not feeling ill - just self isolate as far as possible - if you think you have been exposed then a test is a good idea, likewise if you have a temperature of over 38.5, irrespective of if you are feeling ill or not. I don't think medical aids are paying for negative tests currently - only positive ones. Swab or sputum test
  7. I have seen reports of the virus being present in throat swabs up to 30 days post recovery - as well as a 14% re-infection rate -although this might be just a relapse - it's not yet clear if it relates to the presence post recovery or just a new infection.
  8. I have had a Siemens B2C machine hit before- 1800 odd to fix at Siemens - worth asking the supplier for a quote.
  9. It does look nice - but I would personally have a close look at the Classe S5 - its a great machine - friend of mine has one and he is very happy indeed - even though I am an LM fan... that machine ticks a LOT of boxes at the price.
  10. You might as well bite the bullet and go bike - double boiler time.... Expobar make some that are not massively more expensive than a hx machine. https://onlinecoffeeshop.co.za/shop/espresso-coffee-machines/espresso-coffee-machines-commercial-espresso-coffee-machine-1-group/prosumer-espresso-coffee-machines/crem-expobar-office-lever-brewtus-p-i-d-dual-boiler-domestic-espresso-coffee-machine/ But seeing as you have a Silvia... why not the new one... a double boiler... https://www.home-barista.com/espresso-machines/rancilio-silvia-pro-dual-boiler-pid-espresso-machine-t61126.html But This one I think is one of the best value machines around - and is a bit of a dragon - huge steam power - which is ALWAYS a good thing. https://capecoffeebeans.co.za/collections/commercial-espresso-equipment/products/rancilio-classe-5-s-commercial-espresso-machine?variant=6929947918383
  11. Does this mean you are a softie?
  12. Nice colour on the grinder - I am curious what you used as the hopper - looks very nice and neat - looks like it would work for me on my Kony which is way too tall for under kitchen cabinet use.
  13. PM to Nerd or flippa - organise a group buy while you are at it - save on shipping
  14. Vetseun may be ugly, but he is NOT soft...
  15. Go on a skills course from a coach who can actually ride AND teach - and then let go the brakes more often. Learning to manage a multi day stage race and go faster comes with time - you just have to keep riding them, and figuring out what you can do to go faster - this always ends up with 3 things for me - 1) Lose weight, 2) use less brakes 3) managing your pace/effort better -knowing just how hard and for how long you can go means learning it the hard way.
  16. It's only the end of the beginning - new life, new challenges to come - good luck!
  17. Nicole's whatsapp is being read - not sure by whom, but I suspect all messages and condolences will be shared - at least, I hope they will be.
  18. No - we will not object - and I doubt admin will either.
  19. That's 4 single espresso shots... got to work on your tolerance levels....
  20. Bialetti pot - super forgiving with preground coffee - find an aluminium one for camping - should be pretty cheap
  21. That receptionist is FOS - there is no legal requirement or obligation on you - your body.. your rules. Wife permission is NOT required.
  22. I asked for the tranq.... why worry about it..... But you can compare the local anaesthetic mortality rate to that of a full anaesthetic.... you might reconsider.
  23. Take a day off and get it done... easier to apologize than ask permission...
  24. Recovery and risk post anesthesia are not worth it imo - just do the local and move on - it's a quick and small procedure - ask for a tranquilizer beforehand and that will take the edge off during the op. Post op discomfort does to some extent depend on who does the procedure - I certainly don't recommend driving yourself home and walking 18 holes the next day like I did, but I survived fine - but others may not - in hindsight it would have been better to groan a bit and elicit some spousal sympathy for the great sacrifice.... as unlikely as that would be to come from my ex.
  25. LM Strada EP 1 group and an Isomac Mondiale, a Mazzer mini E and a Kony Electronic, as well as a Siemens super auto at home and a 2 group LM Linea with a Kony at my office.
