  1. IMO it's a societal thing, linked to those animals we (society) consider as food stock vs companion animals. For example, if I was raised in China / Vietnam, I'd probably have no problem with eating dog meat. But I wasn't, and to me, a dog is the ultimate human companion. So I don't eat dog. I would probably eat dog if forced to, through starvation and it being the only available thing if I was stuck in the wilderness and my doglet had just died, but I'm not there and I cannot say yes or no to that. If I had a pet pig, for example, I'd still eat pork. Just not THAT pork, until it passes away. I would do the same for sheep / ducks etc. But I don't see ducks as pets, even though they're bloody good watch-animals. Chickens are solely food. Cows, I see as fodder for human consumption. Companionship, I think.
  2. I buy a car every couple of months for my little one. Loves the things. Them, and Lego.
  3. LOL. "Still remember him" I think the only people who don't remember Anton / Dangle / Wyatt / Sherriff etc are the guys that joined just after his untimely exit. Everyone here has interacted with him in some way shape or form (positive or negative) Jenna_chicky... off topic, but I hope your daughter is doing better, finally.
  4. I am, if the taste and texture is comparable. Burgers are already there in terms of taste & texture, but it's $$$ A good veggie (not meat alternative) burger is excellent, though. Sometimes I honestly prefer them to the meat ones as they're more carefully constructed and less likely to be stuffed up in the cooking process.
  5. If you're running your Netflix off a computer, then download OPERA browser and use their VPN to spoof Netflix to give you the full suite of programs. It works, and I'm using it at the moment at home.
  6. It's like an attractive Mahindra Scorpio...
  7. shoot... here or via mail, if you'd prefer. Well, I'm independent but do discovery and as can be seen from my input here, pretty well immersed in it.
  8. snow, too... Unfortunately for some of the more high flying vegans, who like a bit of the nose-blast.
  9. Holy feck... Someone is getting their ass suuuuuued.
  10. Friend of mine is tryin to convince his dad to buy one. Splittie, refurbed shell, rolling chassis and engine, for 70 grand. Fecking bargain, at that price.
  11. Next back tyre is gonna be the Mary SG on the front when it's no longer good enough for front duty. Which will be soon. Sick and tired of saggy sidewalls and their floppiness. My best tyre to date for the rear is a tie between the Slaughter GRID 2.6 (equiv to a 2.35 Mary in actual width) which has remarkably sturdy sidewalls for a "non DH" tyre, and what seem to be thin sidewalls, and the Citius in Freeride Casing. But so far there haven't been any issues with either. The citius is tougher, but seemingly more squirmy. For some reason. I've taken my foamo out as it was just causing aliens in my tyre, and I prefer the feeling of a tough tyre rather than a lighter tyre with foamo, at the same weight.
  12. Yeah, watched teh first few eps, then lost track as I was just working on my admin in the evenings. I'm now using Opera's VPN geo blocker to get around Youtube Premium's geo-restrictions so I can watch ORIGIN. Killer series so far.
  13. Hardly ever yellow, except if I'm really dehydrated. Normally drink a shartload of coffee and water, pee like a racehorse and it's clear. Sometimes, especially if I'm on the road or have had just a bit too much java, I need to stop to relieve myself at the closest toilet. Yellow essentially means it's got a concentrated mineral content, not that you've been drinking.
  14. At a far higher cost to the OP. while you may think it's a complete waste of time, others see the value in a solution that doesn't require a new wheel.
  15. 5mm Alu flat bar with holes cut where they need to go. 6 for the disc mount bolts and one in the centre for the axle
  16. I don't think the tracker hub has swappable end caps. Think it's 15x100 only. In which case, you need the brake disc spacer like in the MRP and Woolftooth lot, and 2 5mm wide spacers with a 15mm internal diameter to put next to your giant hubs end caps. It's in tension so it will work well if it's the right ID and you get them cut properly. That, or a new front hub and a wheel rebuild. Or a boost front wheel.
