  1. Just watched the first episode. Very good so far. Freaky to think that it's not at all that far fetched
  2. hahahahahahahaha! I wish... That was actually a more simple job than what I do now. Talk marketing BS, train brokers on the product, don't deal with clients... But far prefer what I do now.
  3. versus normal vitality https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0Oo81Kf8mLJMW0yamVTRjYtdVE/view?usp=sharing
  4. Vitaliyt Active is a SEVERELY watered down version of Vitality, aimed at the "millennial" crowd who are price sensitive and don't want all the benefits of the fully fledged vitality. It's confusing, seeing as it sounds as if it's being sold for the VAR segment of normal Vitality, when in fact it's a new benefit entirely.
  5. just a quick but important distinction. Vitality is NOT Discovery Health, nor Discovery Health Administration. DHMS (and other med aids as well) itself is not allowed to profit at ALL. The entirety of your Health premium MUST go to claims, admin costs & reserves. The real profit is in administration, which only a few companies do well. Vitality, and to a lesser extent Multiply, aim to enhance peoples' lives and make them healthier, which has knock-on effects for the premiums of the med aids the group controls (lower increases - Disco's 7.9% increase is a prime example of this) and profitability of their life companies through lower claims and higher retention. Vitality and multiply itself was always going to be a loser in the beginning due to the sheer cost of the benefits it pays vs the annualised premium income, but I'm glad to see that it will shortly be profitable. And a potential winner if you invest in it directly... I for one would LOVE to see the cashflow data. They've put a white paper out on the cost benefits of Vitality, and seeing it in real life would be amazing.
  6. Oh, your friends will still see your points. You just won't get rewards for your team all meeting them
  7. because no more team rewards. If team had met goals, there would have been an extra coffee every week. He's never got that. Now the extra rewards aren't dependent on his team hitting goals, just him. Ergo, positive change.
  8. more incentive to hit goals, which results in a MASSIVE reduction in life / health claims and a far lower lapse rate. You have no idea how lucrative even a 1% reduction in those stats would be, let alone the ~20-30% reduction in claims (marketing material and a white paper on the effects of VAR) that they've seen lately with the amount of people climbing the vitality ladder and actually getting to know how fit & healthy they are.
  9. Just a different way of visualising long addition. If you wanna have your mind blown, have a look at how the Chinese teach multiplication
  10. Hahahaha ja. One is a fantastic specimen of a perfectly built sportsman. The other is an anaemic froome.
  11. A perfect summation. It was bloody disappointing to watch... A promising first 10 minutes devolved into yet another embarassment.
  12. Nah. He'd not have been able to lift his arms or do those wonderfully executed kicks.
  13. Lol. I wish. I prefer simplicity and intuitive design. I worked as a broker consultant. Essentially a relationship manager / sales consultant / trainer in ALL things related to Fin services. Training of brokers, that is.
