  1. Here's mr Zietsman with it on... And a mate of mine from all sides.
  2. Nope. Dropped again in the last 10 days. Back to 103.
  3. Just picked it up this morning. Bloody nice fit, great weight and perfect for my needs. Just in time for Ezel as well!
  4. IMO no, unless it offers the same protection qualities as a mid-priced half shell. I honestly don't see the value of a folding helmet, when normal helmets aren't exactly cumbersome to begin with. Not that it won't sell - I'm sure it will sell some units, just not that many.
  5. Do yourself a favour, and watch it in IMAX. I cannot impress how much of an experience that was. WELL worth it, IMO. Did I mention how it's now ruined normal cinema?
  6. Went to see Blade Runner 2049 last Friday, at the IMAX in Gateway (was up there visiting the fam) and the Vitality IMAX price was less than the Vitality Premier price for the same night. So, I thought wtf. Let's do it. First off, I have very fond memories of the original. Released in my year of birth, it along with 2001 & a host of other classic Sci Fi movies were my introduction to the whole Space Opera / High Sci-Fi genre. A genre that many have played at, but not many have managed to achieve the same notoriety as those originals. Recent attempts like Interstellar, Arrival, TRON etc have been close (with Interstellar being my best to date) but small flaws in the closing scenes and some other foibles left me feeling somewhat underwhelmed. I left feeling that the soundtrack was the best bit about the movie (and oh, what soundtracks they were!) From the very opening scenes of 2049, I was transported to a completely different time and place. Character development was on point, cinematography was simply superb and everything just felt *right*. The soundtrack was utterly, utterly superb. How much of that was attributable to the system in-cinema I do not know, but honestly I can now say that I know why Atmos is simply the best for cinematic audio. If I'd seen Interstellar in this setting, it probably would have blown my socks off even more than it did. The setting of a Cold War-esque dystopian future was done SO well, and the little additions of the cabaret style entertainment area (with intermittent sound and flickering holos) lent those scenes so much more emotion in their throwback to "what once was". There was just enough background information (given as seemingly throwaway comments which later proved to be very important to the plot) to keep you guessing and give you more insight into the characters' past. This is my new favourite movie. Utterly, utterly brilliant. 10/10 would watch again. In IMAX. Again. A side note. IMAX has ruined normal cinema for me.
  7. Colour = compound. Purple super soft only available on DH or SG casings.
  8. Meurant? Funny thing is he rides a reign. With wide bars. He's also a bit of a sadist, I think....
  9. Well.... Considering that he is the inside line sniper and has a good chance of emulating an axe the way he goes into saplings, it's kinda required. Lol.
  10. Loving Star Trek!!! Will try to catch inhumans later.
  11. Yes. Depends on the item. Spares & parts - just VAT & ATV which comes to 15.4%. If full bike 15% duty plus the above. Totals 32.6% extra If clothing, 40% duty plus the VAT & ATV.
  12. Depends. May be able to, but coming back from ANY break like that is bloody amazing
  13. perfectly normal, and totally understandable, Bonus. You get those instances every now and then, and it's perfectly okay to reminisce and think about "things that were" If you didn't, you'd be denying yourself a happy memory. The melancholy that comes along with the memory will fade in time, and with that the joy in the memory will increase to fill the void left by the lack of sadness. Don't dismiss it out of hand, nor castigate yourself for having feelings of regret or sadness. That's perfectly natural. Remember instead that you had oodles of good times in NF or the Cradle, but now you don't have to load up the bikes or take an extra hour to get ready, load the bikes and drive for an hour just to get somewhere that you can ride. It's all around you now... There will be happy memories, and some of them will be tinged with sadness. That's okay. But just like in the movie Inside Out, joy is nothing without sadness.
  14. maybe it was the high frequency vibrations through the pillion seat that got her interested...
  15. I think there needs to be a distinction between cheap and affordable. Or at least cheap and cheap junk. There are lots of good cheap tools, but there are also loads of cheap junk tools. Case in point - my B&D mouse sander. Bloody excellent piece of kit, that, and it was a bargain. Yeah, the dust management would be better with the likes of a Festool, but then I'd be paying muuuuch more for it. But then again I wouldn't be able to utilise the Festool's superior dust management anyway, as I don't have a shop vacuum. Then you get the likes of Mastercraft vs Stanley screwdrivers & other hand tools. And then GRIP. Mastercraft are in my experience far superior to both of those, but not that much more expensive. Also - Barrett & Jackson rip / crosscut saws. Not that much more than the Stanley & GRIP rubbish, but far superior quality, IMO.
  16. Very true, Cap. Having said that, I'd love to just splurge on the Lee Valley Tools catalogue. Oh, to have a triple garage and an unlimited budget! Oh. And a well cared for budget item will outlast a badly cared for expensive item every time.
