  1. do it, dude. It's PRECISELY that reason that I would buy an e-bike.
  2. my latest 2, and I'm getting better at working around my setup's restrictions. I don't have a workbench, I don't own a table saw and there's hardly any space to work on at the moment. Would have LOVED a thicknesser planer to ensure the boards were all even and square, but I had to make do with what I have. Not short of tools, just places to use them. 1 - what was a mirror in the downstairs loo is now a medicine cabinet. Wood is old Bluegum, which has seen a fair bit of weather. 2 - finally mounted my blinds in the kitchen. 1.8m x 100mm x 120mm enclosure for the blinds.
  3. AND?! Can't leave us hanging like that
  4. Yep. I do that on large pieces of meat sometimes. Especially on steaks that I don't know how long they were hung for or ones I think may be a bit tough, even though it's a good cut. Can also do it on a braai, as long as you keep it on the cool side for a while. Then blast the heck out of it.
  5. Noooooooooooooo!!!!! For fark steaks. Thats not lekker at all.
  6. I'll make sure to let his partner know....
  7. Schwalbe magic mary Addix Soft for the front and Rock razor Addix medium for the rear. mmmmmmmmmmmmm
  8. it is a thunderbolt, and it gets ridden with all the anger and ferocity that Odin would be able to muster.
  9. how can one source a proper c grade supplier? And what is the difference between A / B / C?
  10. I need to do that.... Thanks for ANOTHER item on the list!!
  11. Started playing DOOM last night, 'cos it was on special on STEAM. Playing in my lounge with the xbox windows controller. Damn, it's difficult playing FPS on a controller!!! GIVE ME A MOUSE AND KB ANYDAY
  12. my only concern there would be the 35mm stem being a bit short and cramping your cockpit a bit. Yes, I'm advocating against getting a super short stem in your circumstances, as you're 1.95m tall and that may be a tad too much of a reduction considering your armspan. But yes - it is a HELLUVA deal. Ideally - I'd suggest getting a 45/50mm and then the 35 and then keeping the one that suits you best. Actually - drop the guys a line and see if you can pair the riser bar with the 45mm stem. Wayne (rapide owner) is normally pretty accommodating and is a lekker oke. You can get hold of him on the live chat. I'd be happier recommending the 45 & riser than the 35 and riser for now.
  13. small correction - trance was 50mm stroke, and could change it to a 57mm stroke a la the reign.
  14. Aaaaah, on snake eyes. Gotcha. Yeah it's a bit steep but nothing difficult. Just a roll down. Wide bar and short stem will DEFINITELY help in those instances. Far more control and less of a going OTB sorta feeling.
  15. Which particularly steep section? Oh - and a bit of free advice. Go here: www.rapide.co.za buy this https://www.rapide.co.za/product/rapide-rize-r-45-controlpack/ and revel in the extra confidence and control that the upgrade gives you. SERIOUSLY.
