  1. yeah maybe, but it still attacks the eye from a design perspective.
  2. The centre-line being out of level is irritating me... So close, yet so far. If it's off level, make it properly so. Not so darn close...
  3. Nope. People are dicks no matter where you go. It's not a uniquely south african thing, and we do ourselves a disservice by thinking so. Rogue riding and other moral decay is a global phenomenon.
  4. something like this. http://www.finewoodworking.com/assets/uploads/posts/110729/DSC_0002.JPG Which, if planned properly, I could mount on collapsible legs and lift it into the recess behind my carport when I'm not using it, using a pulley system. And no, I don't have space for it normally...
  5. I've also been tempted to remove the shitty legs and mount it on a trolley or table, and extend the table. If the blade sorts out the issues I'm having with it, then I'll do that. Also - agreed on the fence. Shitty design and shitty implementation.
  6. Yes please... 254mm combination blade, if you can. Just let me know how much.
  7. *NUMBER* of people. IE it's crowded. Like Canal Walk on payday weekend. IE not lekka/.
  8. Nah. Avid at least work. They squealed when you used the wrong rotors, but they worked. Unles syou did a hack-job of the bleeding.
  9. They're these jobbies... http://3.imimg.com/data3/LN/HH/MY-1045886/nylock-nut-250x250.jpg
  10. FFS. That explains SO much. Went with an aftermarket TorkCraft a looong time ago, I think, and it's not a good fit at all. Seems to have developed a wobble, even though the bolts are MOER tight. Checked it the other day when it just wouldn't cut properly, and there was about .25mm free movement. Which explained the horrible sound it was making whilst sawing cos the blade was vibrating. Turned it off and put it away as fast as possible.
  11. Would have thought that as a Super Saijan (Level 1) that you'd have seen it already
  12. aaaaaah, yes. Me neither. Overcast day with slight drizzle = no queues, apparently...
  13. LOL. I think it's just a case of people going there expecting it to be "easy" or tame, cos they see everyone doing it on the interwebs, so seriously ho hard could it *actually* be... Then they get there and it's like... Oh. Take a couple of days to get acclimatised and work your way up to the big stuff, and then you're having an absolute jol... It's also the same guys that did this... And this And this
  14. On mine (crappy 254mm ryobi POS) I hold the far side in place, pre-tension it, line it up again by tapping left (it pulls right when clamping) and then clamp a little more and a little more and a little more until it's tight enough and running parallel. Bitch to set up properly, but it works. Most times. Need a new blade for it but it's like putting lipstick on a pig.
  15. Just finished the latest episode of Mr Robot. DAmn, it's disjointed at the moment but I can feel it coming together. Very Fight Clubby but darker... And more plot-lines. Can feel it. The FBI chic finding the arcade is the start of things coming together, I think
  16. Yeah, except significantly smaller... And before I had my unfortunate offs, I'd drop it on my hardtail. Many times washed out on that first corner into the trees!
  17. Oh, I can assure you they'll be used. Just also wiped and cleaned before being put away again. Also - just downloaded the latest Lee Valley tools catalogue. FML. I need more money.
  18. pussy.... I say that fully knowing I'll probably do that, too, and get a rubber mallet like the Samurai okie has.
  19. I have some pre-preg carbon sheets sitting in my freezer at home that would handle that job (har har) pretty well...
  20. Yeah, some of those Japanese joints are amazing. I need me a set of Jap saws
