  1. Just had a look on ebay now. It seems as if it's just the cordless stuff that's getting a huge local markup when compared to overseas. The 3-base laminate trimmer / router I'm looking at is around the same price when converted...
  2. Seems as if it's a non duty item. Will work out far cheaper. time to start investigating
  3. Yeah, I know. It's pathetic. Beginning to think that Importing via eBay and aramex global shopper is the way to go.
  4. Those aren't the brushless ones though And I wish we had the same range. Very interested though. Ping Lexx for the import tarriff
  5. Can guarantee that those "woman" (sic) will klap you 6-0 on the trails
  6. Yeah, true. Though it's still FAR better than the repetition in TWD...
  7. YIPPEE!!! EDIT: If you had more camelthorn, I'd order another.
  8. it's worth it, imo. And yeah. He's in jail. Best catch up, don't wanna spoil it for you...
  9. And the first proper test on 650+ vs 29... Yes, Peaty had one in BPW a while back, but the results weren't as well documented amongst the racers. Very interesting indeed.
  10. nah bro, he'll definitely help you out. He's a good egg, despite his endless attempts at appearing a crusty old ginger.
  11. Unfortunately not true... Well, not entirely. Pencil is flammable, and the shavings / graphite could get into the spacecraft's systems, so a pen was a necessity. They both originally used pencils (mechanical ones) but needed a pen to avoid a fire like Apollo 1. http://www.scientificamerican.com/article/fact-or-fiction-nasa-spen/
  12. Yeah - mine had about 30 - 40h on it when it went in to Droo and needed to be topped up. Was completely dry. And I ride nowhere near as hard as you, so it probably went through far fewer cycles.
  13. Yes... It also may have been under spec from the factory. Been known to happen, and some require services out the box, strangely. Stupid that it should, IMO.
  14. Yep. But to answer your question - no, it's not strange that the artist didn't know.
  15. The way these things work is that the producers / directors / whatever essentially "buy" the rights to use a song from whichever recording studio / company owns the song itself. There are a whole bunch of different end user license agreements that you get, that determine how & in what context you can use a song, and then you just buy it through the relevant portal. My OH uses a similar thing for her photography Slideshows (for client viewing sessions) - she bought the rights to use 2 songs in private viewings for I think $60 per year. There are free options (out of copyright songs) and other, more expensive versions of the service depending on how you want to use it. The more viewers you have, the more expensive the license fee. The amount of times you can use it is also stipulated in the contract. What they've probably done is sign a licensing agreement with a provider / record company that allows them to use songs from a vast list of songs & artists, as many times as they want. The artist won't be notified of the use, as it's part of the record company's sales and distribution. They don't approach the individual artist unless they're self-published, as the record company, for all intents and purposes, OWNS the song. That is, unless they've signed a contract saying "you will only sell the song via CD / download & not in a movie / tv series without my prior consent" - which, tbh, I don't think happens. Record companies can sell the song just how they want to without telling you. So it depends who owns the rights to the song. If it was properly recorded in a studio and released through a record label, the above applies. If not, it's a whole different story. EDIT: Grammar
  16. Order's in. If it'll make me ride like Richie Rude or Yoann Barelli, it's worth it...
  17. Anyone got a spare dock for a Fenix 3? Mine's gone walkies...
