  1. I'm of the "why now, why me, why not a year or 2 ago!!!" Variety. Unfortunately, business negotiations and agency agreements don't revolve around exchange rates. ALL bikes are affected, so we how have X more choices. Just sucks that it's at this exchange rate
  2. Yep. Thanks ZAR. Just priced the Reign Advanced, which used to be the best value carbon bike in that segment. 84k at current exchange rates. This time last year it was 52k or so.
  3. Aaaaaand YT is available in RSA. ‎Roman Kumpers‎ to WP Downhill Classifieds14 minsYT-Industries Bikes now available in South Africa! Enquiries - sa@yt-industries.com
  4. you have to admit, bro - lycra is not the most flattering of outfits. He has a very good point. Plus, baggies are far more protective than lycra. And you don't look like a knob when going for coffee or sitting down at a restaurant...
  5. Yeah, a manual solves all with those things. Seriously. Just lift and glide.
  6. it's been said before, but you should really read the thread. All your questions have already been answered, multiple times over... It's all here.
  7. Yes. Max 30,000 points from fitness activities per year, but you carry on "earning" points even when you've reached the cap for the purposes of the Vitality Active Rewards Program. If you include fitness assessments in your calcs, then the max points for fitness activities and assessments is 45,000 points per person per year.
  8. oh, I thought you were on the singletrack! Those irrigation ditches are brutes. They were the single largest cause of broken bones and medevacs in Tokai when it was open.
  9. It's about 6 pages back. 600 points for 20-60 min vigorous (70% HR and above) 900 points for 60-90 min 1500 points for 90-119 min 3000 points for 120+ 600 max for no HR data 2 - because people jack the system and just let the exercise run whilst driving etc. HR data is critical to ensure you actually DID something 3 - don't use VA wifi. Download vouchers before you get there and take a screenshot of it on your phone.
  10. Yeah. From what he said, though, the YT frame was pretty much exactly what he wanted the Spaz guys to change the Demo to ito geometry. Fully agreed on the development. And they're happy to accommodate that.
  11. Did it record your HR? If so, then it should have allocated the points correctly. You may need to update the app on the device or on your phone as well. Also - query it with Vitality...
  12. That's my thinking. Will see how he's riding, but he's from an MX background, and he's already got a top 20 (Lenzerheide iirc) so he could be a good shot. As much as I hate to say it though, the YT has more chance of being at the top under Gwin. Gah!
  13. Thing is, they all support other riders as well. LOL. I want to support a YT rider. And I want them to have all sorts of success. But I don't want Gwin to win... Aaaargh. It'd be like if Marquez started racing for Yamaha.
  14. What app did you use to track the workout? Did you use the "workout" app, or Strava, or just run strava on your phone? You need to query it with Vitality if you use the watch to initiate the recording, and have got HR data for the exercise.
  15. No no... I want to support YT, but I don't want to support Gwin... See the dilemma?
  16. They're saying that the signings were within their existing marketing budget, so there was no need to change anything.
  17. Really, REALLY lekker interview, here... I'm facing a crisis. I love the YT brand, and what it stands for. But I don't like Gwin, even though he is definitely a fantastic rider. http://www.pinkbike.com/news/interview-marhus-flossman-yt-2016.html
  18. According to the interview on Pinkbike, all the geometry changes he wanted to make to the spaz were in place on the YT all along.
