    I think the cassette is only the same width at the centre i.e. where it contacts the freehub. It's actual profile may be wider due to the dishing of the cogs on the upper end. In my opinion, it won't work.

    Nope, Red Cross is still a beacon. And you're right - it's in Rondebosch, just near Rondebosch Common. It quite frequently has the heli there.

    nah. Leaves plenty room... capacity on a 10-45 is 35 teeth (4 within the GS capacity) On the wide range 2x10 though.. 2x10 w 11-36 and 28-42 is 39 teeth. So if you have a 26-39 or anything with a closer gap, the GS should be fine. Should...

    Hmmmm... depends what the procedure was. Some higher end gap cover products may cover it, but not all of them. They're designed to boost in hospital (admission) coverage and copayments / deductibles / cancer coverage etc. Not out of hospital stuff.
