  1. Snakeskin is the casing - the normal TLR (tubeless ready) aren't really strong enough to ride in the Cape with all our different terrain, and the Snakeskin ones are. They have an extra layer of protection on the sidewalls and under the tread. The TLR Evo has an extra layer on the sidewalls, but not under the tread. Pacestar / Trailstar / Vertstar are the compounds. Pacestar is the hardest, vertstar the softest. Trailstar is the happy medium, offering a good amount of grip without wearing out too fast. I wouldn't put a pacestar on the front.
  2. Don't do it. They're not the Snakeskin versions. You NEED the snakeskin versions. And I think they're Pacestar as well.

  4. The other thing it doesn't say is that the improvements on medical tech would have meant that there were less deaths as a matter of course. Do they also list the occurrence of cancer / stroke / heart attack etc instead of just focussing on death? And how can you say that the fat was the biggest problem, when they all cut down dramatically on smoking as well? There are also no other additional factors that they have brought in to the equation - exercise, drug use, illnesses and so on. Seems okay on the outside but when you dig down you realise they have concentrated on one section alone in order to prove a pre-conceived idea. IE: Animal fats are bad.

  9. It's also used when the car is not able to use the full power of the units, or so I understand. If a car just suddenly drops off in power, then the following car needs to know that.

  11. They normally sometimes take that into account. But as said before - those Syncros rims are weaker than a 90 year old on cataflam, sleeping tablets and anti depressants.

  13. LOL. The warping of space, time, the rim and everything else would be the Syncros's territory! Those things pretzel faster than a new yorker without a taxi. The ST's are, by all accounts, bulletproof. Mind you, a wet cloth would have more structural rigidity than a Syncros rim, so that's not much of a yardstick to measure by. Use the possibility of medical bills and / or her having to ferry you around for 2 months after the OEM rims explode in a shower of aluminium (or so they claim) nipples and spokes. It's for her own good that you upgrade, really...

  18. Shocking after-sales service, parts irregularities etc etc. HECTIC spares costs. But if you're buying new / demo, that's their problem. And I know how you can drop a bomb on ppl for service Cat - meet pigeons.

Plus you can carry stuff from the lumberyard and / or builders whorehouse in the back... without removing all the seats and the centre console.
