  1. Erm, Dawid - you may have been visiting the wrong websites... ROFL.
  2. true to a point - but only 'cos you need to adjust your riding style to suit the different characteristics. It all comes down to the geometry at the end of the day - MANY niner riders are able to get their wheels off the ground. Yes, it takes a bit of getting used to, but just as much as it would if you were moving from a bmx to an MTB, for example. Simple mechanics & physics,..
  3. Lol. That's actually a fantastic bit of kit, Dawid. Simplicity at its all time best
  4. Vipa, ibis HDR, ss build, and previous bike & component tester / reviewer. So yeah.
  5. He's not bad on a bike either...
  6. WRT most of the tracking numbers - they generally do a bulk upload of tracking numbers that were issued on the day, at the end of the day / overnight. I've seen this myself - had a bona fide tracking number that had been issued that day, but wasn't on the site. It basically links to the first scan, IIRC - like when it hits the depot or something. So if the package was only collected this morning, chances are it hasn't yet been uploaded to their systems. Check again tomorrow...
  7. You're arguing using a rainy race as a comparison? That's a bit silly bro. Peak HP means a LOT less in a wet race. You can't even put full throttle down on those days. Then it comes down to smoothness and chassis design.
  8. Eish. Tab. No sugar but soooooo much other shaite to compensate. Yuck
  9. The text of this letter is being disproven more and more often - current / previous medical "guidelines" were based on big pharma recommendations in order to push cholesterol lowering meds, which were introduced to lower cholesterol after the introduction of the high carb diet in the 70s and 80s. CURRENT medical studies are finding more and more often that cholesterol isn't the big bad monster that everyone was led to believe. And that includes doctors, nutritionists and other professionals who relied on "peer reviewed" studies of the past, which are now being shown as irresponsible and on some cases even false. It sounds more and more as if you're playing the man himself as a result of his turnaround on his previous carb centric recommendations... why isn't he allowed to use other scientists studies to back up his claims, without doing studies of his own (which by all accounts he is trying to do now)?
  10. I only know one of the m9 owners here by their pseudonyms. And I doubt he'll be selling his!
  11. and no. You don't need to get a replacement spider.
  12. And to think some people thought he was past it... come back with a renewed vigour!
  13. Dude. He asked a legit question. You assumed that the co-author spoke for Noakes, which is clearly not the case - she is not Noakes. You then proceeded to get quite bitchy. And personal. So no, it's your inflammatory posts that have escalated this little tea party...
  14. Erm, I've been to quite a few talks where he was a guest speaker. He had often said that this is NOT for everyone. numerous times. And at times vociferously. He does, however, say that everyone must stay away from refined cars and sugar.
  15. Yes. You hook a right just at the church, and follow the road (through the boom) and go past the site of the Tokai market. Then you follow the road up the hill to the right, and end up at another boom. Divert cuts out a lot of traffic and lands you at the top of Tokai road, just by the manor house.
  16. To the tune of 15.4% to be exact. Plus clearance fees of between R30 and R 300 depending on who you choose to deliver the things.
  17. one could argue that, as it is made from carbon, it is "of the earth"?
  18. Actaully looks like an XTC, Porqui - have a look at the rear triangle. The seat stays continue all the way up to the seat tubs junction. Also - no upper link or shock to speak of...
  19. That's the thing about science. You read peer reviewed papers & studies, and accept them as fact (theory) and when they are disproven, as they are at the moment, those that first accept the new, improved science (with proper long-term studies and double blind tests, monitoring results, analyses and everything) are disdained because they are all of a sudden vilified for their ability to CHANGE THEIR MIND with the evidence given to them.
