  1. I'd LOVE to do that if it came around again. There's a lot to choose from if we're doing laps.
  2. mate of mine got a wildcard entry for the elite race. Tyron Bird. Riding a flash 29
  3. 100% Rata. They are properly fit and hugely accomplished at the technical side of the sport. Plus the intensity at which they need to keep themselves at through the entire race, given the technical challenges, is awe inspiring.
  4. Nope. 10t is missing cos they would then have to adopt SRAM's x drive platform in order to make the 10t sprocket possible, or make their own (and i doubt theyd choose the first option) Afaik they are the same width, as all that's changed is the freehub body itself - it's not wider or narrower. So it SHOULD work, but then why would you want to use an xtr cassette on an XX1 setup, when it will probably be the same price? So it should work with the setup - same spacing, but different actuation ratios between the systems (still doesn't have anything to do with the cassette spacing though)
  5. Yeah. Looking forward to riding her tomorrow!!! 150mm up front, in all it's Pikey goodness...
  6. Look what I have for a few weeks... now that my freehub broke yesterday. Thanks Crow!
  7. Erm... NO!? How the feck would you get them up there? On your back? And then on the way down do you stop for 20 seconds, change them, put the old wheels on your back again (cos you can't just leave them behind) and struggle with ties and so on? No dude. Just use CX tires. Not worth the hassle of changing them to slicks. Just get semi slicks and you;ll be golden. Or just normal CX tires. Those are good enough.
  8. Meh. Same thing really... LOL. Watch the crossies come and murder me...
  9. Nah. The gravel is easy. Just the rocky-ish section just before the transition to tar (upper reaches) which could be a challenge. But not that much of a challenge if you know how to handle a bike.
  10. Nope. Not road bikes AFAIK. Lill did it on a full on CX bike.
  11. I have to change pants every time I look at this frame...
  12. Canfield is beautiful... but it's not exactly enduro...
  13. Lol. Thought that may be the case. But honestly... would it be THAT much of a problem if you used a standard one in the interim?
  14. Can I say the obvious and mention that the jockey wheel shouldn't be that much different to a normal jockey wheel? It's just a roller wheel... doesn't perform any differently to the normal ones. Get a normal one and install it in its place
  15. Negligible when taking into consideration how much it actually improves the bike. About 250g though, depending on the current post and which dropper you are going for. But seriously. You shouldn't be worried about the weight of a dropper. Imo it's a critical item for all mtbs
