  1. Marquez. Has more passion, imo. Plus I like the way he's thumbing his nose at the seasoned pro's
  2. Short answer is no, on both counts. Only difference would be the wheel size and chainstays length given the same size bike. Basically the salesman was talking bull excrement
  3. was referring to the weight of the steerer here Dave, not the head tube...
  4. Btw crow... you have whatsapp! One word. SWIPE!
  5. Appatently, Meurant's job was to make to course so that an anthem was "too light" for the trails. But a vipa? Those LIVE in the mountsins, no?
  6. But nico, I'll be there with Djr from 4 if you want company. I'll be a bit slow thanks to my knee but you can be in a group of ppl
  7. Not dodge at all dude. As with everywhere... be alert. Those vigilantes have been shut down for the most part. The parks guts take this shite seriously
  8. Thinner at the bottom Yeh. But the reduced wall thickness is a tradeoff against the increased material. Thinner but more of. So will probably be the same.
  9. Indeed. As PhillipV found out last time round! My cornering has since improved...
  10. Tapered is slightly stiffer due to the increased diameter of the tubing at the bottom of the steerer.
  11. Btw - mine now has a name. Betty. As in Betty Swallocks.
  12. Lol. No. William Simpson needed to organise the permanent plates and deed of ownership, so the bakkie literally could not be driven for a few days. Frustrating indeed. DJR - I'm up for a ride. You say round 4? And I have tested it - my knee is fine for the ride, I'm just a bit slower on the descent!
  13. I don't care about your petty problems. BUILD HER!!!
  14. AWESOME!!!! Build her, BUILD HER, BUILD HER!!!!!!
  15. Better bring your stock of markers, 'cos I'm gonna run out halfway through. May as well just dip me in a vat of pink paint.
  16. some of the old (pre-2003/2004) policies may still have arcane exclusions, but most of those should be surrendered by now as their cash values and insurance amounts would do FAR better in their respective sectors (far better ROI in a dedicated investment with AG / Marriott etc & far better costings & coverage on Life insurance / disability benefits)
  17. You phoning them every 2 hours I hope... Bastards.
  18. What Phillip said. Ss frame has sliding dropouts but a normal frame cam be made to be Ss compatible with a chain tensioner. The guy was probably referring to the bikes geometry when saying it was a "race" frame. Steep head angle etc. Nothing wrong with making a "race" frame into an Ss.
  19. LOL. Tires are Capricorn's "thing". You want to get him to do something, you have 2 options. Wave him in the general direction of a new set of tires, or a 4-pack of monster...
