  1. Gees, don't you guys get double entendres? And yes, I get it... In the future I'll use ho'
  2. ROFLMAO!!! All of the above. As an extra precaution, swing a ho in anger this friday.
  3. Or, you could go to your local motorbike shop and get the plugs that they sell there. They've been posted here before, just can't remember where. Effectively has a round base that goes inside the tire, with a rubber spike that goes through the hole. Far more secure than a plug, and will last far longer. Sorta looks like an enlarged rubber thumb-tac. You also get different sizes for different size holes...
  4. I love you, you love me, Caerus dresses up as Barney. With a bottle of rum and a shifty eye or two, you'd better watch out 'cos he's lookin at you...
  5. And I reckon the ABS system is slightly too heavy for bicycles...
  6. Damn, don't give me ANYTHING that looks like a clip-in saddle...
  7. Right front on my DH bike. My XC's brakes won't allow swoppage unless I bleed them, and I don't have a bleed kit yet...
  8. PS: I can only IMAGINE what mine's going to say when I tell her...
  9. + 1 on the helmet. Don't even think of riding (or letting your kids ride) without one. +1. They're tough as nails. Not the lightest, but that's of no concern to some. Think of it this way though... how heavy are kids' bikes? 12, 13, 14kg? You have far more power than them, so the weight shouldn't be a concern unless you really get into it further down the road..
  10. thats the problem right there. you spoke to her about it...
  11. Those old boulders are tough. Yes, a better specced bike will serve you better, and maybe last longer, while giving you more enjoyment, but insofar as the bike itself is concerned, it will serve you well in the hills of Tokai. Yes, it won't be able to handle the gnarly stuff as well as a "better" bike, but if you're just looking at spending time with the kids, it should be perfect. Anyway - my advice, keep it as it is for now, and if you want to upgrade in 6 months to a years time, then upgrade then.
  12. Don't worry about it, man... you were there last time, so you've put your quota of sweat into the trail (for now)
  13. NS, the poll specifically indicates FSR with Brain. As a combination, Crow is saying that it's not the best by a long shot. Straight FSR, however, is not the target of Crow's ire.
  14. Dude, it's hardly a hassle... Go to a numberplate printing place, give them the number (and a copy of the log book to prove that it is your car) a copy of your ID and then go do some other errands while you wait for it to be stamped out. Plus, you'll then have one for any future escapades!
  15. Yeah, but that "only" has 110mm, with a 120 up front. Tallboy LT - 135mm at the back, 140mm up front...
  16. Hell yeah! Ramsew, your Barney compromise is worthy of a medal in itself, but to echo 1 million thirsty, thirsty workers - "WE WANT BEER!" Cool. So far: PorS Jimmyhardtail Ramsew myself The Crow DJR & his minions Capricorn (maybe) Beattbox? Come with sunscreen, gloves & spades. The occasional ho won't go down badly either. And if anybody has a wheelbarrow - please...
  17. OOH! OOH! Saying that, the Tallboy LT is on my list. First 9er I actually could see myself parting with my cash for...
  18. Good man... So that's the 5 confirmed so far! Just a hint - bring sunscreen. I roasted my ass off yesterday. Also - bring spade & gloves. Need dig.
  19. Very nice. Simple. Easy. Good pedigree. Which one did you go for?
