  1. It;s a cute little thing. Pocket sized, petrol powered, and all the get-up-and-go of a pocket bike. Would actually pay to see Glorykid with one of those bits of appendage-cutting fun-boxes in his hands. Can anyone say blood-fest?!
  2. Jimmy, might see you up there at abt 12. I'm writing industry exams on Friday morning, so it's a non-business day for me. Trying to get Tim (van wyk) to pitch up on Sunday, but he's up in Hermie's anus over the wk/end...
  3. anyone looking at donating a DH bike? Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeze?
  4. Like those recordings of "REAL V8 MOTOR SOUNDS!" for your hybrid?
  5. Yeth, Ewmer Fudd... And as for the toys, I'll bring my spade & axe, as well as a 4lb hammer for those logs & splitters...
  6. Not unless it's battery operated. No gas allowed on the mountain, Simon. You know that.
  7. Simon - just from my side, where are the UCT jumps situated? I know they're near UCT, but other than that...
  8. Ha. Ha. Ha ha ha. Punny, dude. Punny as fk. I like it. And as for monster - I got dibs on both if possible... ?
  9. Saturday morning, in. Sunday, in. Gonna watch the rugga on saturday arvie and close some business deals...
  10. I'm with Velo. Take the hit on the Bianchi. Keep the Tommasini. You know you want to.
  11. Saturn is a Hardtail... so that doesn't qualify. Try looking at obike.co.za for some deals on full sussers. For 8k, you're not going to be getting anything that's looking at shedding a few pounds.
  12. Don't worry bro, you're far from alone. Sometimes takes me 30 minutes to decipher 10 words...
  13. ja, bro. That gap's too small and too little kick to do a superman! LOL...
  14. Ja, I mean, one time, the guy actually STEPPED on a piece of sharpened steel that I just happened to drop at hte right time...
  15. LOL! It's like a frikkin ping pong game right here! Si - keep it real, man. The fact that there's even 20m of NEW DH track in Tokai is an awesome milestone. Heck, it's not even finished yet - how can you judge it? Are your oracles that talented? Seriaaaasly. Take a chill pill. Pop a couple of corners. Try a new line. Tke the inside line on an off camber right hander, just to see how far you can push it. Push the countersteer even further. THAT's the way to take the GNAR to the GNARRRRRR! Do a tailwhip over the road-gap if it's so boring to ya. Or try to be superman. Just realise that we're all in this together. Even me with my XC machine going down the current gnar section on the track. And I hope you enjoyed your bath - it's bedtime now!
  16. Thanks guy, but see below for comment. All the guys that you are flaming are doing the work. Where are you? Erm... WaHAAAAAT? Dude... No, better term - Beeyatch! You seriously need to take a chill pill, and either pitch in, or shut the #### up. Seriously. This is getting old now. Bring a spade, and an axe, to the next build session. Or just leave it all alone and have no say in how/where things are built and maintained. Reason for me saying this? You seem to be concentrating on YOUR needs, as opposed to the needs of ALL the users & riders in Tokai. Typical demagoguical activity, yours is. Shape up, or shut up. #rant off#
  17. Hey, so True, CAP! Seriaaaaas cos I have to be sumtimes. Jus like spelling aint seriaaaas toooo me raight nauw.
  18. David, David David. When will you learn to start putting something in instead of mouthing useless rhetoric? The point is that the XC / bi directional singletrack HAS been worked on. BEFORE any of the "new DH" routes. And yes, the DH routes need maintenance as well. Fancy that! If you want a list of what has been done, then fine. Faerie Garden (maintenance, no changes) Bottom end of Vasbyt (maintenance AND changes) Divert on Vasbyt, before it becomes DH only (maintenance and re-routing) And YES, these are all BI DIRECTIONAL trails. Therefore, XC. What has been done on the DH runs then? Top end of Vasbyt - DH only (smoothing of berm, and cutting of water channels to prevent erosion - also done on XC routes) New DH trail (this is a divert, or new option. Yet to be open) So - work and changes on 3 sections of XC track, and only 2 DH tracks. Where is your argument now!? Yes, there will be things done to Rinkhals, Mamba, Snake Eyes etc. When clay arrives, for one. When the time comes, for another. Get off your frikkin high horse, and start paying attention to what is being done, and why. Its for the good of all. Even you!
  19. Haha... just came back from Tokai now. All was fine until I tried the last log jump on the flat section of Vasbyt. I land, and 10 metres later I feel a bit spongy on the back. Look down, and the rear is 1/2 of what it should be. Fk. SO I stop, pump it up again, and then carry on. Was just about to tackle the 2nd log jump on the switchback section, and I come around the corner feeling all loose. Look down, and again. 1/2 of what it should be. Damn. SO I had a flat at the back. So instead of carrying on down vasbyt, I shortcut it down the old DH trail so I can intersect the road. I'm going slow (very slow) cos I can feel the rim hitting all the little ruts. I get to a dropoff and roll over it. The front goes over, and I hear PTSHHH! and next thing I know I'm on my face in the sand. Because I was going so slowly, the front just locked in place at the bottom of the dropoff and stuck there. Just had to laugh!
  20. Dude... all I can say is: Woweeeeee! Just come back from my study-break in Tokai, and saw the new trail. Looks AWESOME! That first kicker - when I get big, I wanna jump that! At first, I think i'll roll it. But bro, it looks SUPER sweet. Helluva good work there, and I can't wait to help finish it up! And Jimmy, I know what you mean about "that section" becoming a little tricky on the Hardtail. Just did it now on mine. But one of the best times I've even had - also the first time I didn't dab the foot down!
  21. You sure? Hmmm. Common sense fail.
