    Battery life

No Heath Robinson ( ? ) way , like drop it in water . If it sinks its okay . If it floats , it is not ?
  2. Is there a quick way of checking if there is still adequate life in those " 2032" coin type batteries ? Say from a heart rate monitor or cadence sensor.
  3. The ANC regime can sort it out , as they " leave no stone unturned " in all their " investigations " . Which suburb of Roodepoort ?
  4. Mr. Tumbleweed , 47027 posts ???? Wow , my Kroon. How much time have you spent on thehub?? Only trying to get to my 100th
  5. What is next from these EXPERTS ???. That I should have used the word ADVISE and not ADVICE ?? ?? I put it to you............. Aaag , I rest my case . Ha ha
  6. My remark is not leveled at Mr A. but at some of the other EXPERT Hubbers that , in general , now give the sort of advice that you expect from your grandpa . I was not shafted. The price I paid , plus the fact that the BS refused to give a guarantee on the secondhand bike ( as they do not normally deal in 2nd bikes ) was within my risk tolerance.
  7. This discussion thread is now full of Knowalls. A am from Jhb and bought a Pina MTB ( carbon ) from a reputable BS in Limpopo . They sent me MANY pics of the bike/frame except a pic of the crack in the frame. It was a risk I took and accept.
  8. I have always had excellent service from them. However , when I needed to contact them i.r.o. an order for goods that were not in stock at the time of placing the order , I failed to contact them as the window on their website is not user friendly . The fields that I had to complete were not accepting my details , like order confirmation no. , etc .
  9. I have not read the article from the beginning. However I am surprised that ASG is not "driving" this issue of fakes , let alone grey imports
  10. Like the 60 means more "strands" and one layer and the 45 are thicker but less strands and 4 layers and stronger ? Oops sorry , your first reply did not open up completely the first time !
  11. Pinarello Dogma carbon is 60HM1k. On the Pina MTB , the carbon is 45HM4K. What is the diff. in layman's terms ?
  12. No response . Zuma must be the chairman of the company that owns the shop ??
  13. Don't worry. The anc regime leaves " no stone unturned "

    Pedal less

Why are MTB always ( or just about ) sold without pedals , like it is used underpants ?????
  15. Not trying to score some brownies, but it does give one great satisfaction to think that a lot of us contributed ( in my case , small ) to this lovely being
  16. Could this be the reason the 4th stage was not televised on Dstv last night ( 22.30 ). Maybe Dstv should also be penalized
  17. Is it just me or are those smiley faces ?
  18. Have entered. The SASOL air will give you more VOOOOMA (not)
  19. Here in Gauteng , there are some " Chine Shops " that specialize in electrical gadgets/equipment. You can buy LEDs over the counter. I am sure you also have some " China Malls " in CT. Try them. The stuff originates from China anyway.
  20. Game , Set and Match !!
  21. Your name says it all. Refer to my comment on post #18. And it is not even Friday yet ???
  22. 'Skies my Kroon ,maar dit wassie ekkie. Decades of motorcycle riding has taught me that applying the back brakes until it locks , is a sure way of ruining yourself and the bike , let alone the " trails "
  23. I also ride a motorbike ,but because of VERY effective ABS , I have never had the problem of the front wheel " washing away " .The same can not be said for the MTB.
  24. Why do they normally fit the larger diameter brake discs on the front wheel ? The rear brakes are used more often ( with my riding style anyway ).
  25. Arrived last week and not opened yet. Are you waiting for Christmas in June ? Ha ha
