  1. i'm on Windows. only just got it, so i'm still figuring it all out. correction 720, 1h40 was just under 8GB
  2. would have to check but i think 2h20 on 960 was about 16gb and 1h40 on 720 was about 13gb
  3. I've changed my Hero3 to the one below 960, 720 or something i think. I don't see the need to record at the max rate. Hero3 battery lasts about 2h20
  4. Found this last night http://www.bicycling.com/training-nutrition/training-fitness/social-climber DON’T - Turn friendly group rides into KOM battles. - Yell “Strava!” on a descent and expect other cyclists to move out of your way. - Half-wheel a friend for an entire ride, then brag about your Suffer Score. STRAVADDICTION n. a state of aggravated, Strava-induced irrationality so extreme that it can cause coffee-shop rides to degrade into slugfests. so who's yelled Strava on route... lol me: http://app.strava.com/athletes/199565
  5. Not a purchase, but a birthday pressie over the weekend.
  6. When you check a segment, you can show just the club members you part of
  7. Swift01 is renown for doing this one with me.... This doesn't help when our Olympian comes and does the Nissan VG race and klaps all the segments...
  8. They fun... sort of. easy to keep speed/cadence/HR pretty constant. indoor trainers you can read a book, watch tv, whatever you prefer. rollers... don't take your eyes off them. so far, no involuntary dismounts, but it's only been a week. done a couple 45-60min sessions.
  9. The LivingVitality uses MapMyFitness. So if you upload to MapMyFitness, it logs it to Discovery. The LivingVitality doesn't do manual uploads of .tcx files, but MapMyFitness does... I uploaded my Bryton .tcx files to MapMyFitness and it reflected on Discovery, although I hit "Limits Apply" for a lot of fitness stuff back in April, you still get the bonus points.
  10. need to better my 4:23 from 2012... Was only my 2nd race, after Rooiberg 75. The Monster uphill isn't that bad, but it slowly sucks everything out the legs and then all the bumps after it seem endless with much moaning. Remember going up the Monster and hearing the huffing and puffing from someone behind me, looked back and saw a carbon rigid.

    2012 94.7

Was my first roadie race. Starting in I, there was a great train that i managed to hook onto, not sure who all the guys were, KTM, couple Raleighs, pretty much stayed together the whole way. Sorry to the dude on the KTM who i didn't see next to me when i reached for a barone on Jan Smuts... Had a great time and finished in 2h47. Was hoping for a sub 3, so plenty happy with that! managed 2/459 for I batch.
  12. Haven't done LionMan but 2012 Rooiberg 75 was an awesome first mtb race for me. eish... some of the climbs!!! http://app.strava.com/activities/6711212 realised that using the Strava iPhone app, 4h45 left me with about 10% battery.

  20. Was a great 70, very tough and those hills!!! the camera man at the top of that concrete mountain... asking how it's going just as you got to the top... umm.. i wasn't very chatty at that time... The decent on the road was insane! just smelt breaks most the way down. lost a couple places right near the end with a flat but quite chuffed with the 60th overall. don't remember where exactly it was, not too far into the race but was in the group where those buck ran across in front of us Overall an awesome event!!!
