  3. OverTrained... hmmm... think I'll start training after VG... need to be able to pull 650b's up that day2 climb with my little wheels
  4. You always drink all the beers! Looks like we're in for a scorcher on Saturday, so best we finish quickly to get out the sun and into the beer tent... B batch is for us Babywheels
  5. Come join Nicci and I there on Sat, need to start getting her technical up a bit... She's entered the VG70...
  6. Haha twit! Was a good peddle around, pity your Cruz can't climb the rocks by the river crossing One up for the little wheels! Was good to see everyone out there.
  7. Also have a PowerCal, haven't really looked into actually using it as a training tool. just think it's cool to see power numbers. As it's Ant+, should work with any compatible device. I had it with my old Bryton 35, and with the 40, both work fine. one thing you notice is the tcx files get quite a bit bigger, and from what I've read, it does chew into battery life a little. the instant power doesn't really help as it varies quite a lot, the 3s power is probably a better one to look at. I've got the speed and cadence sensors, so I've got all my info when on the rollers. Trek Madone has a built in dual speed/cadence sensor, MTB has the Bryton Cadence Sensor. They probably aren't a necessity as it still gives power figures at spinning.
  8. i'm keen, will have to wait and see
  9. You were very bleek after last years ride! seem to have been sorted once you joined the JaggerBomb congregation on the haybails
  10. told you, you should have gotten the 2x10 stuff already
  11. There was also that climb in the Nissan Hakahana race, but i think everyone walked it. I'm sure i saw 26% while pushing and talking to the camera man near the top. http://app.strava.com/segments/2503877
  12. Trying to ride next to Nicci up that last climb with her 11-28 and me with a 11-23 wasn't fun, eventually said meet her at the top coz i couldn't go that slowly
  13. Was a chilled ride with g/f's new bike http://app.strava.com/activities/32790217#
  14. I think there were 2 people who rode all the way up last year.
  15. TrailSeeker 2012 route http://app.strava.com/activities/25547546
  16. suppose to get back to this, what problems you having? There was a new release of BrytonBridge recently, wouldn't let you upload until you upgraded to the latest version, first thing to check. download it here: http://www.brytonsport.com/help/start
  17. don't need connectivity anymore, with the BrytonBridge software you can save your tracks, so you don't need to upload and then download. took them a while but at least they sorted that part out. do definitely agree, would be nice to just copy the files off the device... but alas... My device has started giving me grief, a while ago it would hang half way through a ride. that was sorted after a complete reset. last night on the rollers, did a good session of 45mins at 41km/h avg, stop at the end, look in history and it failed to save the session *mutter!!!* pity the Edge 500 is sooo expensive and doesn't fit into my budget at the moment.
  18. you just export the tcx file and import into SportTracks... The Bryton file system isn't readable from explorer, so you have to use the BrytonBridge software to save the tracks to your pc. I haven't had any issues with exporting the tcx file and uploading it to Strava. The direct link is broken on BrytonSport's site, but that's coz of changes Strava has made. The way the Garmin agent works makes it alot easier to upload to various sites, probably because it's been around a lot longer.
  19. This was one awesome event last year, my first stage race, dam Rouxtjie and Swift01 with all the beeeeers...!!! so looking forward to this year again. Will be the tow vehicle again, only problem is the little wheels have to pull medium wheels and bits of ankle titanium this year.

  21. Why are you braking down the back of the Nek anyway??? shouldn't take you more than 7 mins to get from top to bottom... Never had an issue with the elixir 3's my bike came with until i bent a rotor, put some cheap after market rotors on, can't think of the name and now they make a noise! *mumble*
  22. Hakahana came in a very close 2nd, pity you missed it last year. Unfortunately it clashes with 3 Towers this year
  23. When will people learn about the littering!! Just stick it back into your pocket or under your shorts... probably one of the number one reasons to not being allowed back onto the land. yes... maybe you should take a fork this time!
